Landline to VOIP to Mobile
Quick question: A while ago I ported my landline number to VOIP. If I want to port it again to mobile, is it the same simple porting process?

The old website has a more detailed data usage table that shows total usage per day. Can that be brought over?

Re: cant access emails
Strange, I had the same problem. Couldn't access my Exetel email accounts from anywhere. Same as OP, it would say "login fail" on the Exetel webmail facility. Then about 30 minutes later, it all started working again. I was just about to call Exetel but it looks like it might not be necessary. I did...

The Exetel 15~20 Year Club
There are 6 year and 9 year club threads so how another one? Founded in 2001, Exetel officially began offering Internet services (ADSL1) in February 2004 so the Exetel veterans who have been there since the beginning will have reached their 15 year milestone this year, and will get their 20 year bad...

Re: Netcomm NL1901ACV (Home Wireless Broadband) - Security Setup?
Thanks. Unfortunately, like other users, I am also experiencing the dropouts every couple of hours that only gets fixed if I reboot the modem. I'll be upgrading to the firmware that Exetel is recommending and hopefully that will go some way to fixing it. We are extremely sorry about the inconvenien...

Netcomm NL1901ACV (Home Wireless Broadband) - Security Setup?
Recently signed up and everything is working fine so far (literally plug and play) but can anyone point me to any step-by-step guides/tutorials regarding the security of the device/connection? Preferably a guide that is specific to this brand of modem. Thanks.

Re: Mobile 1 plan change
Is there a reason I was still charged the $20 even though I met the conditions? This shouldn't be the case AFAIK. I have prompt the billing Department to do the needful. They will update you once this is corrected. Thanks again thejeg! Hope to hear from them soon, I have a few more to port. Also I ...

Re: Mobile 1 plan change
On the Exetel (via vodaphone) to Exetel (via Optus) e-mails, it stated that the $20 activation fee would be waived if: 1) The existing vodaphone service is ported; and 2) The service is ordered on or before April 30th, 2011. Is there a reason I was still charged the $20 even though I met the conditi...

Re: Some basic VOIP questions - "New VoIP Savings from Exete
Layzee, just about any modem-router is VoIP capable, Telsta-supplied units being the usual exception. All the modem has to do is pass data on certain ports to/from the phone ATA. What kind is yours? Your modem won't be turned off, unless you wish to be "not at home". Sorry, forgot the all important...

Re: Some basic VOIP questions - "New VoIP Savings from Exete
Thanks for the replies, it's looking pretty good so far (I think). They call it the 'PC-off convenience' yes! It is independent from your computer but it requires a broadband connection to make and receive VoIP calls. Just to clarify, in order to use this phone, I'll need to have the phone co...
