Re: PHP fault on free web space.

My apology, On reviewing the code associated with the PHP call I realised that in updating the code to be transportable I had omitted some key notation, i.e. ../ in the call to the PHP code. I still have unresolved issues with my implementation of this code but can declare that the query re server P...

Re: Forum Logi Log off

Ahh, There is a Log off button, there just isn't any text label displayed for each of the drop down functions. Is this a deliberate omission?

Forum Logi Log off

The "log off" button presumably under your log in name next to "Private messages" does not show a log off button on the drop down it is blank. So how do you log off?

PHP fault on free web space.

The Exetel free web host no longer supports embedded PHP routines on my web pages. In particular a slide show routine. When selected a new tab opens with the following message: "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request...

Download large messages

I use Thunderbird email app. for my email. I have set it to limit message dowloads to not exceed 500kb. This would signal that a message had been truncated and offer to download full message. Recently it indicates the message has been truncated but on selecting to continue download nothing happens i...

Re: eXeSMS Installation --> System Error

Hi Thy_Zombie, I realise your post was several years ago but, I have the same problem after New Year 2017. I have used eXeSMS on both Ubuntu and Win 10 platforms (3 separate systems). Now none of them will connect. I checked Exetel server settings and they seem to be ok. Did you find a solution to y...

ADSL Low Speeds

For several months I experienced low speeds "drop outs", "server not found", "gateway reset". It took more than 11 hours to upgrade from Win7 to Win10 not including the 2.5Gb files previously downloaded. It caused problems with antivirus updates and system updates. My remedy over that time was to po...

Re: eXeSMS install to Ubuntu 12.04

Here is some info on setting up eXeSMS or for that matter any 3rd party application on Ubuntu14.04LTS I found that Alacarte MainMenu has some bugs which makes it difficult to do an easy install. I found that although I gave it the correct path to the application icon file it failed to append the .pn...

Re: Email with Attachment not downloading.

Hi Dazzled, Thanks for looking at my problem. I see what your saying, when I examined a successful attachment down load from another source it does have a file name in that place. What is strange is that I could get it from the server by Forwarding it to another of my TB email account. Also what (TB...

Email with Attachment not downloading.

Can someone help with the following problem? I have several email accounts set up with Thunderbird. For one of these accounts I have repeated occurrences of email from a particular source that remain on the mail server. I do get a partial content (truncated, just the company logo) email but without ...

Re: Webtrees Genealogy Data Base

Yes it does do a query but that is after you have set up the data base and uploaded the files. Probably quickest way to find out. If the query returns an unsatisfactory result you have to delete the files. There could be a simple script somewhere. My php ref. is 3.3 and that function list out of dat...

Re: Webtrees Genealogy Data Base

Hi, Another question to stevecJ I have 200MB allocated for web site applications. I am using about 85MB. Leaving about 115MB free. Loaded data and applications occupies the used space ie as stored data like a PC hard drive. When an application is run the memory used to service that application for p...

Webtrees Genealogy Data Base

I am considering uploading Webtrees genealogy data base and have a few questions. I have 200MB of space allocated for Web pages or Blogs does this space also have to accommodate data base use? I am already using 83Mb. Webtrees system requirements include 45 MB application files + additional data spa...
