Re: NBN Power

Hi, Re: NBN service being down due to a power outage. It seems the fibre side is well provisioned with battery back up in the exchange and at nodes. My question is relating to the provision of Fibre to the C(K)urb service to my premises. Will I have the option to have a battery back up or UPS attac...

Use of PSTN equipment on ZTE modem

Hi, Can I use my existing PSTN phone and answering machine on the/with the ZTE ZXHN H268A modem as supplied with the now lowest NBN plan. By the way has Exetel explained why they have dropped the previous lower cost Basic plan? Is it "price gouging" or are they passing on fees from their service sup...

New Front Page

Hi Exetel Webmasters,
I think the new front page looks very nice. Still haven't attached labels to the log off drop down.

Re: Personal Web Space usage meter

Hi Steve Bow, Place this little php routine on your index page. If you want to see how it works go to http://home.exetel.com.au/pushbike/ and to the link Space at the bottom of the page. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transition...

Forum drop down

The drop down box associated with users name and log out button is not being displayed. Top right of forum page below Search box. That is I cannot see which button is for sign out. This was a problem some time ago has it been fixed previously and reappeared?

Re: PHP fault on free web space.

My apology, On reviewing the code associated with the PHP call I realised that in updating the code to be transportable I had omitted some key notation, i.e. ../ in the call to the PHP code. I still have unresolved issues with my implementation of this code but can declare that the query re server P...

Re: Forum Logi Log off

Ahh, There is a Log off button, there just isn't any text label displayed for each of the drop down functions. Is this a deliberate omission?

PHP fault on free web space.

The Exetel free web host no longer supports embedded PHP routines on my web pages. In particular a slide show routine. When selected a new tab opens with the following message: "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request...

Download large messages

I use Thunderbird email app. for my email. I have set it to limit message dowloads to not exceed 500kb. This would signal that a message had been truncated and offer to download full message. Recently it indicates the message has been truncated but on selecting to continue download nothing happens i...

Re: eXeSMS Installation --> System Error

Hi Thy_Zombie, I realise your post was several years ago but, I have the same problem after New Year 2017. I have used eXeSMS on both Ubuntu and Win 10 platforms (3 separate systems). Now none of them will connect. I checked Exetel server settings and they seem to be ok. Did you find a solution to y...

ADSL Low Speeds

For several months I experienced low speeds "drop outs", "server not found", "gateway reset". It took more than 11 hours to upgrade from Win7 to Win10 not including the 2.5Gb files previously downloaded. It caused problems with antivirus updates and system updates. My remedy over that time was to po...
