Misleading Change Plan Information
I was just looking at changing my plan. On the change plan page, there is no mention of any line rental fees in addition to the quoted plan fees. For example the TR-300 plan says that the total monthly cost is $54.99. Given that the current plans advertised for new customers state that the line rent...

Re: Usage Meter Counting Downloads plus Uploads
The screen grab you show demonstrates just how misleading Exetel's web site is. It clearly states that the download allowance is 1TB. It is only if you read the Critical Information Summary that it says that the allowance includes uploads as well as downloads. This critical information is only given...

Re: Usage Meter Counting Downloads plus Uploads
The inclusions of the Data allowance is included in the critical summary link which was available at the time the plan change was placed via the Members Portal. https://www.exetel.com.au/files/cis/150501/telstra/CIS_Bundle%20Phone_Line%20TW%20Regional.pdf Regards Mandy There is no link to the Criti...

Re: Usage Meter Counting Downloads plus Uploads
This used to be the case but with the new plans, this is not anymore and both uploads and downloads are calculated together so you basically have 100GB of usage quota and not just download quota. I did not sign up to a plan with uploads included in the quota. I have not been advised of any changes ...

Re: Usage Meter Counting Downloads plus Uploads
This is wrong. My contract has a 50GB peak download quota. Uploads are not counted towards my quota. The usage meter currently says I have used 23GB of my quota when I have only used 15GB of my download quota.

Usage Meter Counting Downloads plus Uploads
My usage meter currently shows I have used 46% (23GB). Looking at my service usage page shows my current total peak downloads are only 15,713.38 MB. Now, if you add in my current total peak uploads of 7,288.45 MB you get 23GB. So it looks like the usage meter is currently counting uploads against my...

Re: Weird Voip calls.
So it's a netcomm product fault accepting any request rather than only requests from the registered voip server or is that not how voip works? VoIP is essentially a peer to peer system that is usually configured to behave like a client server system. When your ATA registers with the Exetel server i...

No, it does not mention the date the change will be applied. Dear dsc68, Thank you for submitting a plan change request for your current Exetel Broadband service. Here are the details for your new Broadband bundle plan. Service number: 07xxxxxxxxx New plan name: 100 GB Broadband with phone line rent...

Re: Double Standards for Exetel...
I have also received the same email saying that I have used most of my quota even though my forced plan change doesn't apply until the next billing cycle. If I get rate limited, I will be pretty pissed off as my current plan has plenty of quota remaining. Exetel, your customer service is a joke. Ple...

Re: New Bundled ADSL/Wire Line/Mobile Plans
Other options like what? Other options like moving to another ISP. Can you explain to me how these changes benefit any of your customers??? They don't. In my case I'm being moved from an $79.99/unlimted plan to a $108/1TB plan. So a 35% price increase for much less data. Pretty rude considering how...

Re: Unable to access sites hosted on Amazon AWS
Ok, I've delved a bit deeper into this. A packet trace showed connections to affected websites were being established but experienced massive packet losses. Odd that it was from only some address ranges. Even more interesting was that my router would issue an arp request for the computer requesting ...

Re: Unable to access sites hosted on Amazon AWS
Is there any possibility you could try changing your IPs? Computer says no. Your Account IP details cannot be changed at the moment. Please try again soon or contact Exetel support. This is getting serious now - the Aldi website is hosted on Amazon AWS and I can't check out next week's specials. A ...

Unable to access sites hosted on Amazon AWS
Today I have not been able to access any sites which are hosted on Amazon's AWS. Example sites are:
http://www.auspost.com.au
http://www.mynrma.com.au
http://central.scouts.com.au
All of these websites resolve back to Amazon AWS servers. The connections just timeout.

Change Payment Details not working
I have just received a new credit card and have been trying to update my payment details in the Members area. When I enter my new card details and press 'Save Changes', nothing happens - the screen does not change, my details are not updated and no error messages are displayed.
