Re: A happy customer

I was there when my daughter was connected to NBN. Lucky her she has FTTP. The technician arrived a little late but quickly removed the old phone, pulled the fibre through, mounted the box and plugged in the new modem. Within 5 minutes the connection was up and running. The cable jammed in the ceili...

I have been an Exetel User for more than 6 years. I don't know when I joined. How do I become a member of the 6-year club?

Re: Message when making calls.

Thank you. I'll do that. I thought it being an issue reported by several people it would get some attention. Regards It appears you were right. My VOIP gets through on every call now and I did nothing to correct it. I think Exetel provides an excellent service but they are sometimes reluctant to ad...

Re: Message when making calls.

After dialing a number we frequently get the following message "We are sorry, the feature you are attempting to use is not assigned to this line or the numbers you have dialled are incorrect". It seems to happen most after having dialed and used another VOIP number. We overcome it by dialing our lan...

Re: Message when making calls.

We have exactly the same problem using NB9WMAXX & Dynalink 1046??. Both modems have latest firmware. The problem commenced at least 6 months ago. We did log a fault ticket and support people tried hard to solve it without success. They wanted to have access to our computer but We were not willing to...

Huawei E160E error 619

I got my new E160E from Exetel a few days ago to commence use from 1st August and it was easy to set up from the Exetel instructions that came with it. Profile name exetel locked in and did not change, likewise APN set and stayed at exetel1. So I have not had the common problems I have seen posted. ...

Re: Down again?

I sent an Email2fax on 18th Jan. The email appears as "sent" using Gmail but no confirmation of success or failure has been received in respect to the fax. I used the format 07xxxxxx@fax.exemail.com.au and put my password in the subject box. I have only used Email2fax a few times but it has been ok....

Re: IP Address change - Discussion

I have enjoyed download speeds of approx. 4500 BPS for the last 18 mths or so then for about the last week the speed has dropped to between 300 and 1200 BPS. Is it possible that my new IP address will take me back to 4500 BPS?

Re: adsl connection issue

Can you dial 12722123 from your handset, and record the result. Call 1800652456 and record the result. PM both results to me. I rang the 1800 number, got Optus and was given my correct number. The 12722123 got a "could not access" Does this mean I can or cannot transfer my existing ADSL2 no phone p...

VOIP to mobiles

Suddenly I can no longer ring mobiles other than Telstra services from my VOIP service. I tested with 5 different mobiles, 2 Telstra which worked fine, but the other 3, Optus, Virgin and ??, no go. Has anyone had a similar experience? (I have logged a fault ticket) After much assistance from Exetel ...

Re: New connection, sync light but no account created yet

Same problem since 17th Dec. At 9:25am (today) 23rd Dec. I rang 02 9927 1000 option 2 to find out if the service was actually available. As I type this I have been on hold for 35mins. I wish they would change the song. I was answered after 41mins and found that the DSL only became active "sometime" ...
