Re: You want twice for less?

I managed to port to Telechoice. Much better network with regards to coverage. Much fewer drop outs and black spots. Data is about the same, service was friendly and quick to reach someone in Australia who can understand English. So I may renege on my previous about coming back to Exetel if their mo...

Re: You want twice for less?

I've had to move from the Z15 to Telechoice Liberty Starter $20 at 24 month contract or $30 month to month, only 1GB of data billed at 10Kb but unlimited text and more calls as well. Seems to have less negative feedback on whirlpool than LiveConnected which apparently has problems billing as well - ...

Re: Optus Foxtel and ADSL co-exist?

Thanks rukshani and EromalR. Is there some way to determine if we have vacant copper? Perhaps I'll have the in law check out what the phone plugs into. If it's plugged directly into the foxtel box and not into the wall sockets then can I assume she has vacant copper? I know she had a normal telephon...

Re: Data spend threshold Z15 + APN

Hi hornch.

Spend threshold sounds cool, might do that.

Re APN: My phone is set in all uppercase "INTERNET" and is working fine.

Re tethering - I haven't needed to enable anything in the member facilities to get that working with no additional charges.

Optus Foxtel and ADSL co-exist?

Hi All. I would like to apply for a new ADSL2 service for my mother in law. I had tried to do this before, however during that process we discovered that her Optus Foxtel bundle routes her calls over an optic network (HFC?) - and hence we don't have an active copper telephone connection. Now with Ex...

Duplicated Submission Error - Order Mobile

Hi, I recently applied for Z15 cap as a current WM-C users. I filled out the form and received a "Duplicated Submission Error" when I clicked "place an order." Was wondering if this is because I had elected to port my mobile number (which is with Exetel) and used that same number as my "mobile accou...

Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application

Hi smsdeveloper. I had been using exeSMS v0.95 on my Nokia E51 for many months, however right around the time of you post on Aug 24th 2009, I could no longer authenticate with the Exetel API. After a lot of trial and error I found the demo of exeSMS v2.0 and that could authenticate. Is it possible t...

Re: HSPA FAQ

ahas's post and my own experience with the service leads me to believe Q9 in the FA is not compete. Seemingly there are further criteria for a handset to connect to this service at 3.6Mbps? I have a Motorola V6Maxx which I originally got from a Next G contract. It is WCDMA/UMTS 2100Mhz as far as I h...

Can't figure out my number

Hi All, I just got my sim in the mail yesterday (on M1 plan - not ported). I can't for the life of me figure out my new mobile number! I got two SMS's detailing the progress of my application, and I didn't receive emails. The sim had a letter attached but it doesn't seem to have my mobile number on ...

Well said gondy, nothing really to add. I will say that the killer reason for me to choose exetel was the level of feedback I felt I receive from them when things are happening. If a problem arises generally the customers of exetel have at least an explaination for why things go wrong. Generally it'...
