Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

quick question. why are the OCV plans under 'naked' adsl? unless im incorrect (if i am can someone correct me? because it means i've misunderstood a lot of this thread) the new ocv plans reactivate the pstn line so its not really a naked service. would it be more correct to call it a adsl2+ bundled...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

From what i can remember naked before started at $55 so for $5 more ($60) you get line rental included (believe it or not you still paid for line rental before as it was included in the price of the naked plan. Did you not ever wonder why a similar plan for adsl cost more for naked then it did just...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

2) Is there any way for me to determine for a given mobile number which network it is registered on, before making the call? (Other than asking the person I'm about to call.) There was an answer to that given earlier. There are websites like http://www.smsfun.com.au that give the network that the m...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

As insane as it may be from a technical point of view, naked ADSL2+ + VoIP was cheaper overall than the cheapest line rental plus the cheapest ADSL2+. Anyway, it seems I got some answers to the questions I asked earlier : 1) There are three plans that include free local, national and calls to Optus ...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

1) There are three plans that include free local, national and calls to Optus mobiles. 2) Optus mobiles = any Optus mobile number irrespective of re-seller. 1) a) Which plans are that? b) Does this apply to the OCV200 plans? c) Where can I find more information on those beyond the table under "Chan...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

I'm on the ONA plan now, naked ADSL2+ with 10GB peak download for $43/month. In the member facilities, the only plans offered to me under "Change Service" are those with telephone service bundled in and 200GB download starting at $60 per month and coming with a fresh 12 month contract period. Is the...

Re: Off Peak Periods

Awesome, thank you! :-)

Is there any way for users to change between those two off-peak periods?

Best Regards,

Ronald

Re: Off Peak Periods

The problem was that until recently, when making a change to your paln from the Members Facilities, it was not obvious that the new plans had different peak/offpeak times. This issue was discussed in this forum and eventually was rectified so that the peak/offpeak times for the new plans are clearl...

Re: Off Peak Periods

Personally, I am not too happy with the current peak/off-peak rules. I'd say my downloads overall are in the "low to moderate" bracket, and to me it is more important to have access to some additional quota at reasonable times, than for the off-peak quota to be particularly big. I used to use it for...

Re: plan change procedure for going naked

Just to provide the latest update, and closure, on this one: firstly, it seems I did indeed make a mistake and did not read the big print when initially changing to ADSL2+ (something along the lines of "YOU WILL ENTER INTO A NEW 12 MONTH CONTRACT - DO NOT PROCEED UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING")...

Re: Content Filtering Trial

Thanks for replying to my questions, ForumAdmin. 3) though I don't see this small-scale test as conclusive proof that all will scale up just as flawlessly, there's certainly now a dent in the technical arguments against the filtering. Not that the technical argument would be the most important one, ...

Re: Content Filtering Trial

So... do you (as in Exetel) think you're all set for the case that the government filter is introduced via legislation? Or will there be further testing? Not sure whether to be happy that it all went without too much trouble - though I don't see this small-scale test as conclusive proof that all wil...

Re: Content Filtering Trial

I am ambivalent about this "no opt-out" filter trial but can see why Exetel are doing it. From a technical point of view, I am not sure how a trial with 198 IP addresses will tell you anything about the technical feasibility of the solution for what we can expect to come. To be hit at all, or with a...

Re: plan change procedure for going naked

My emails to billing so far only confirmed one thing: it is about as pointless to try and get information out of billing as it is with support. My first email got a reply, but no answer to my question. Follow-up was not replied to. Second attempt did not get a reply, either, so I just sent off the t...

Re: plan change procedure for going naked

Ok, here is what it said: I agree to pay $0.00 to move to an ANYPHONE ADSL2+ service. I Agree to pay the early termination fee if I disconnect or my actions cause my ADSL service to be disconnected. I agree that if I withdraw this application after Exetel accepts it I will still be liable to pay th...
