Estimating NBN application time

Hi, I've moved into a house with the NBN internal and external box already installed and the previous resident had an NBN connection. I applied to Exetel on the 31st of December after business hours, and I understand that it is a weird time of year to do this. On the Exetel Q&A http://www.exetel.com...

Different marketing of mobile plans

Hi, I was interested to know if Exetel had ever thought about offering mobile plans that are based on the number of Minutes/SMS/Data like in the UK instead of the current way every australian telco does it? i.e. http://www.talkmobile.co.uk/simple.html I've noticed that Exetel now spell out how many ...

Sorry to disconnect

Hi, I've just submitted a request to cancel my ADSL service at the end of this month. Looked back to my first ADSL2+ invoice, 2006-09-26 I moved into my first home. It feels much longer than the 5.5 years Excel tells me it is. I've had a fantastic experience with Exetel and I'm only cancelling the s...

Exetel blocking my forwarded email?

Hi, I'm forwarding email that I receive at the domain bur.st to both gmail and an Exetel email. Last night around 6pm the forwarding has stopped going to exetel but continues to go to gmail. I'm not an admin or anything on the bur.st computers so I can't tell if they've stopped forwarding to exetel,...

Re: Make/receive calls without a DID

It's quite likely the Nokia has a built-in SIP client, giving you a vast choice of ITSPs. Alternatively, other VSPs have their own MoIP clients. Yet, another alternative, is if your GF has sufficient free or included calls, is for your GF to call a SIP broker gateway in the UK or a PSTN to SIP gate...

Re: Make/receive calls without a DID

If she's running Exetel moip program she can run Skype. Install Skype on both mobiles and keep them running and you can have free calls and the equivalent of free texting. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately her mobile is a nokia, too old to run the latest skype application. When she was with ...

Make/receive calls without a DID

Hi, With Exetel saying they're getting rid of the $0/mo DID accounts I now have a small problem. My girlfriend is in England and she has Exetel's MoIP on her mobile. She can call my VoIP number, and I can call her VoIP number. Exetel will charge $5 per account I'm wondering how she and I can still c...

Cannot transfer mobile between Exetel customers

Hi, I have a brother who has ADSL and mobile with Exetel. He's cancelling his ADSL by the end of this month. I asked Exetel support if it's possible to transfer his Mobile to another Exetel account, but the response was it's not possible. What are the options here? Am I to put through a phone portin...

Re: July Z* mobile specials

I am also interested in this offer, the Z15 plan in particular, but have a few questions. Will I get charge extra (on top of the $15 monthly fee) if I do not go over call and data allowances (I won't be making international calls). That is there absolutely no hidden charges just $15 per month. Seco...

Re: Exetel Mobile Plan Specials for July

I too am interested in the July special mobile plans. The Z39 plan sounds like what I want, but I'm concerned about the billing increments for data. For example, I believe Optus charge data sessions in minimum blocks of 10Mb. Can you please advise what is the minimum block size that Exetel will bil...

Re: Exetel Mobile Plan Specials for July

Hi,

I have a two part question.

1. If I pick a Z8 plan today, can I in 2 months time move that up to a Z15 plan, or visa versa from a Z15 to a Z8?

Thanks,
Clive

Internet external to Exetel unavailable

Hi, My parents ADSL isn't working very well, VoIP is working, Exetel sites are working, google is working, but the rest of the 'internet' is not working. I've got mum to try visit microsoft.com and www.uwa.edu.au with no luck, but google searches work (thanks to the cache I presume). I got her to pi...

Re: Is there a way to check balance?? sms or app?

I'm getting old and my memory isn't very good. But I think this week I read that as a developer if I'm creating something for web based consumption, make a public API available that you use yourself for your web site (dog food?).. that way your customers can innovate on your service. So when you do ...
