Re: Terrible speed and constant drop outs

I decided on a gut feeling to ditch with old Dlink brick TPG gave me many many many years and terabytes ago for a nice Billion one. My speeds have gone from [expletive deleted] to a strong 850kB/s in an instant.

I wonder how many people a day complain to ISP's when their hardware is at fault.

Terrible speed and constant drop outs

My connection seems to be having major issues at the moment, I'm experiencing drop outs every few minutes and my speeds for a 8mbit plan are terrible (250kB/s tops). I've tried to isolate to no avail, how do I proceed to getting it resolved? Cowpastures exchange btw

Cheers

Re: Price Increase Of $5.00 per Month On All Old ADSL Plans

Can you please reply to the question "Are there any plans for an alternative 8k plan other than the one currently offered?" No. The only plans offered are the plans that are on the website (or alternatively in your Member facilities). Then I have no other option but to churn :( No other way to work...

Re: Price Increase Of $5.00 per Month On All Old ADSL Plans

Paying $88 for my TELO plan is a little out of my budget, I would be happy to downgrade except that seems to be impossible as the only 8mbit plan is $90 :( I dont really want to churn as I have nothing to complain about service wise and I need a static IP, but I'm running out of options here. Any id...

Blocked for virus, cannot unblock

Looks like another family members PC is rather stuffed and for one reason or another it has thrown out enough crap for it to make it on someones radar and it seems I'm blocked. The computer has been isolated and the only outbound port allowed for the moment is 80 and 443. I can access this but not h...

Re: Whirlpool Morons Of The Week (2)

Posting rubbish like that on whirlpool or any internet site opens yourself up to a potential defamation case. I think a lot of people don't realise that, they wrongly assume that are truly anonymous when in fact they are not.

Re: Comment on Failed Billing Cut-off Practise

I have been cut off a few times mostly due to the fact that my bank withdraws the money on the 4-5th of the month and sometimes the money that automatically gets put there on the 1st is not all there by the 4th or 5th. Huge pain in the arse when the problem can be fixed with 60 seconds of online ban...

Seems like a hassle but maybe that's the only way they learn.

TIO Complaint - Worth my time?

Long long story summed up: Family member was approached by Telstra rep about a "special deal", family member reluctantly agreed on the condition that one could cancel within 10 days if said deal was rubbish. Said deal was indeed rubbish and deal was canceled the next day. A few days later out intern...

Shaping broken?

For the first time in quite a while I have exceeded my off-peak allowance. I have the shaping option enabled but as I have discovered it doesn't seem to work as it appears that my downloads kept going full speed overnight.

Is this a known issue or should I submit a ticket?

Drop the shit attitude, this problem is hardly limited to Exetel. Many people from Australia (diffrent ISP's btw) cannot connect to the site in question. Its a problem at their end.
