Re: Page to change ADSL password not found
The option to change the ADSL password is not available anymore. !!! What ?!! Name another single company who requires users to email or contact support to change a password! All passwords should be transmitted, and stored *encrypted* and without intervention or supervision by anyone except the peo...

Re: False Excess Spend Message and Mobile Blocked UGH!
It's yet another system glitch which is being looked into and should be sorted out soon. "Yet another"... I'm sorry, but this speaks volumes about Exetel's level of technical competency. ADSL provisioning and quota reported seem to be adequate and stable. But mobile plans and general billings proce...

Re: Filter Nuisance Calls
I have a better, much more low-tech solution: When you receive a phone call and hear silence at the other end, or a ringing sound as if an auto-dialed number was being transferred, just start scratching the microphone on your telephone handset. Makes it appear as if the number being dialled is a fau...

Re: Domain hosting and email redirection (again)
Quick comment squeakytown (and other people who might be trying to accomplish something similar): Depending on your needs, you can accomplish (half) what you want without additional costs by using a free service such as afraid.org. I know this is technical-speak, but what you do is take your existin...

Re: New website glitches
However, the website *still* fails to redirect properly when logging in into MyExetel (sometimes redirecting to the AJAX url and causing no useful information to be displayed). And in my opinion, the changes that have been made to the Exetel landing page (http://www.exetel.com.au) makes it next to ...

Re: You want twice for less?
Thanks CoreyPlover. Can you please let me know who I email to cancel my ADSL2 and Home Phone with Exetel ? This would have to go through billings@exetel.com.au. I was in the same boat as you and the process was erroneous and protracted, and I got almost got charged incorrectly for a SECOND time on ...

Re: ExeSim SAVER plan
So a bit of a rant, but do you believe that if a service provider wants to contact their customer base they can also reverse the charges to them? But that hasn't happened here. Has it? So sorry, but no: I'm afraid I can't follow your reasoning that the $28.25 charge ought to be reversed or incurred...

Re: ExeSim SAVER plan
Why not? Depending on the number you rang, they would either be charged as a regular Sydney call (02 support number), or a regular 1300 call, each of which incur charges on the ExeSim Saver plansteve sydneyside wrote:I am pretty sure that service calls to my service provider cannot be charged to my account.

Re: Web site
Exetel seem to have (finally) updated the home page of www.exetel.com.au. Previously it was a ugly and useless green landing page. Now it has links to the various service sections which detail the plan specifics. It is a huge improvement and has returned Exetel to a "respectable" level of profession...

Re: Is Exetel having Huge Problems !?
Is Exetel having Huge Problems !? Yes, I think so. Well it is now one full week since I contacted Exetel by email about the fact my mobile numbers are still connected / active and I have been billed in error for another month, after I had successfully ported away all 3 mobile numbers to Amaysim bef...

Re: phone bill
I see in my monthly invoice, my phone has Easycall Call Control, how do I turn that on & off? and what exactly does it do? It is probably this: http://www.telstra.com.au/home-phone/features-services/#call-control Email billing@exetel.com.au and ask them to disable it. Also see http://forums.whirlpo...

Just got our monthly bill and our two mobile services have been changed upwards without any NOTIFICATION ? How good is that for 'customer service' ! Notification was sent out on April 3. Re: Available plans must include phone rental? And cost more
It would still be good to show which provider the listed plans when changing plans, is using. I don't think that any ISPs provide that. They all use terms like "bundled phone" (meaning their carrier of choice and a price discount) or "unbundled phone" (meaning you keep your current carrier and pay ...
