Re: Tethering iPhone With Exetel
Thanks guys, all good now. Once you manually deactivated tethering I got the SMS notification that that had happened and I reactivated it online and it became properly active. I also had to remove all custom profiles but that's not a problem as the SIM seems to default to the correct APN.

Re: Tethering iPhone With Exetel
I am on an "m" plan and using the YESINTERNET apn as specified on the link provided, and tethering is enabled in the user services (it was already enabled when I changed to the m plan specifically so I could tether). But I'm still getting the "contact Optus" message on the phone when I attempt to en...

Re: Tethering iPhone With Exetel
So for someone like me on a WM-B plan, I'm still out of luck: I need to use the exetel1 APN, which means a non-carrier profile, so even with tethering enabled in user facilities, my iPhone still says "contact OPTUS" :-( Please PM me your service number. Hi Shoner, I'm having the same problem, have ...

Re: Changing ownership of ONE service
This was all sorted out this week, thanks for your help Shoner.
It might be a good idea to integrate a facility for this sort of request into the user facilities though.

Re: Mobile version of user facilities
Good tip on using Opera, looks a little messy but much more usable (its called "mobile view" in the iphone version by the way).
And yeah its my understanding that its pretty much just a matter of implementing style sheets fir mobile browsers.

Mobile version of user facilities
Hi There, Was just wondering if there has been any thought about implementing a version of the Exetel user facilities, forums and EXESMS webpage formatted for mobile browsers? The desktop site is pretty clean and simple but it's still a bit of a pain to navigate around on a mobile browser. A mobile ...

Changing ownership of ONE service
Hi, I currently have 3 services with Exetel, an HSPA 3G service, a 2G (Vodafone) mobile service, and a VOIP service. The 2G mobile service is used for my now ex-girfriend's phone. As we have split up, we want to separate the two services so that she is billed separately for her mobile service, but u...

screw that. Better off just forking out for paid wi-fi services or getting a local SIM.

Re: iPhone Tethering with iPhone OS 3.1
This will be something Exetel need to address with Optus I think- Optus certainly won't help us directly. Tethering is certainly borked under 3.1 at present. I;m hoping somebody at Exetel can assist with this, as it's a pain in the butt.

Re: One way traffic on outbound calls
Surely someone must have an idea whats going on here?
I replaced the unit with a PAP2T and got it working fine, but after half an hour or so it started exhibiting the same symptoms too. Getting extremely frustrated with this as I've tried everything I can think of.
