Re: Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!

I came here hoping for some network fault to be mentioned that's causing the horrendous speeds I've been getting today, we're talking sub dialup speeds. I can't really do anything. Test run on 22/10/2008 @ 09:31 PM Mirror: Exetel Data: 600 KB Test Time: 234.27 secs Your line speed is 21 kbps (0.02 M...

Re: World of Warcraft issues lately

Okay, done. And I'm starting to think my problems are due to packet loss possibly caused by congestion, which would explain why it's getting worse over time and extra bad during peak times. Right now the game is near unplayable and I'm getting up to 50% packet loss simply pinging google.com. edit: t...

Re: World of Warcraft issues lately

Oh come on. I know you musn't care about your wireless customers as much as the others but I'm open to any suggestion after trying every weird and bizarre "fix" I could find on WoW's forums. And what makes it worse is I still can't log on to your help desk even after emailing your support. They just...

Re: World of Warcraft issues lately

Anyone? I don't even know how to log on to your help desk with my wireless logon, it doesn't work. I remember emailing Exetel about that before but never got a response. Same WoW problem still happening, I even tried this thing called "WoW Tunnels" that cut my ingame latency by half to a great 300-5...

World of Warcraft issues lately

Been using Exetel Unwired for years now and have been able to play WoW fine, obviously not great latency (~500-700ms) but still playable. Problem is the last several days whenever I enter a battleground and there's a clash with a large amount of people, I find myself lagging horribly, like actions I...

Re: Age Of Conan

Played decently today up until the servers went down at 9pm I think it was. Some spikes here and there but stayed playable unlike usual. Hope I wasn't just being lucky again.

Re: Age Of Conan

The spikes have always been a bit random, it's possible they were just lucky like I was a couple nights ago. I was still getting 9k spikes up to around 7pm yesterday when I stopped playing, but again it was only in certain zones, dungeons had mostly perfect latency. I'll log on now to test it some m...

Re: Age Of Conan

Some more random observations by me. -The night I had fair play enabled a few nights ago, latency spikes were no better -The night after that with it disabled it was actually a bit better (probably just the issue being random) -The night after that (still disabled) it was bad again, and unlike some ...

Re: Age Of Conan

^ That's what I'm hoping. As much as it seems like a server-side issue with the different latency I get between zones, petitions to GMs all insist there's nothing wrong with the servers, and that I have to talk to my ISP. So... yeah. edit: dunno if I mentioned it in this thread but years ago I had a...

Re: Age Of Conan

I've been testing the spikes ingame, I've noticed if I'm in a zone instance with a lot of people I spike and lag to hell, if I'm only with party member or by myself I don't. This is probably why some people say switching current instances can fix it. For example Khopshef right now is lagging me to h...

Re: Age Of Conan

I signed up to fair play last night and i didn't get the latency spikes, however my friend who wasn't did get the spikes. I was in fair play last night and still got them. Can you please email your phone numbers to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au and I will see what I can do. Please attention it t...

Re: Age Of Conan

Did this work? Seriously, I will have to change ISPs if it isn't fixed soon. I enabled the fair play option for tonight, no real difference. Just quit in frustration then (near 5am) after dying 3 times in 9800ms spikes. Don't expect better from other ISPs though, I've seen even people on Internode ...

Re: Age Of Conan

my friend also has this problem thismorning ><. Its not being wrongly identified as P2P is it? i dunno just a thought. I think that's the problem: http://forums.ageofconan.com/showpost.php?p=688340&postcount=1045 I've had an email from a helpful support guy for an Australian ISP (ADAM) who has appa...
