Website Confusion

I'm a bit behind the times and just found out the old websites are no longer valid. Going through the forums I'm confused. I just want to see what I had on my webspace, but can't seem to work out where to go now. I had the old name.exetel.com.au one with my ph number as username, now I want to know ...

Re: Telstra offers ADSL+2 in My Town, but I can't get Exetel (?)

From what I understand is that Telstra has put their ADSL 2+ equipment into your local exchange. This means you can get Telstra Bigpond ADSL 2+, and any other company that uses Telstra's equipment. Exetel uses Optus and Powertel (someone will confirm or correct this) for ADSL 2+. If neither of those...

Re: adsl2 selective website connection issues

I too have been having issues accessing certain websites. They only partially load requiring a restart or they don't load at all. This seems to be an issue mainly with overseas sites as well, with Australian sites loading as normal.

Re: Content Filtering Trial

It has been mentioned that slow downs are to be reported as well. Is this a general slow down of our service or slow downs/hiccups on sites or games we may access? Or both which I'd imagine be the case. I wonder how many other people will not post here any sites that get blocked during the trial, be...

Re: Change of ADSL1 to ADSL2 Service

I just looked at my modem status and saw this: DownStream Connection Speed 4791 kbps UpStream Connection Speed 747 kbps Does this mean I've been ported across to ADSL 2+ from ADSL 1? The DownStream seems to suggest this, and many other little clues that I thought was just improved sync rate, since I...

Re: Want ADSL 2+ but Powertel not at my exchange.

I got this information off one of the links above for my number:

Theoretically Estimated Low Speed: 3439
Theoretically Estimated High Speed: 3440

What units are those speeds in, because at this point it seems like they may be not worth switching to ADSL 2+ for.

Want ADSL 2+ but Powertel not at my exchange.

I'm looking at switching from ADSL 1, with Exetel, to ADSL 2+. The plan I was looking at, and is available looking through members area, is PTL C. Only problem is that further research shows that my local exchange (Campbelltown NSW) has not been provisioned by Powertel meaning no ADSL 2+ for me via ...

Since Telstra is at fault no one will ever get any form of compensation ever.

For those having WoW issues, myself included, especially those relating to logging in; WoW is having problems with their own ISP (AT&T) which has been causing log in and lag issues all weekend.
