Re: IP Address change - Discussion

Few questions: 1. How exactly is this going to make your IP Pool more managable? 2. I have become mutually attached to my current IP and am not happy with the change, and not happy with the new IP....can I select from a pool in either forcing change of IP a few times or selecting another? I am not ...

Re: Admin fee increase

1) Increased risks of running the business = State of the US Economy? If it is your reasoning I hardly see how it should be affecting you as you purchase your services from Australian providers who would mainly have things covered. 2) Additional costs of collecting money = Why not apply charges whe...

Re: Admin fee increase

This increase has/will have nothing to do with the costs of processing credit cards or direct debits – it is based on the significantly increased risks of running the business plus the additional costs of collecting money plus the additional losses from payment defaults and the charges made to Exet...

HTML Fax To Email

I have a problem with the service at present. What I am doing is attempting to get a formmail script to email a HTML version of its form results to a forwarder address which sends a copy to an email address for storage and another to Exetel's Email 2 Fax to fax onto a machine for quick retrieval. Th...

Re: PHP Upgrade

...... unless exetel gets enough feedback for an update then they can choose if they want to do it or not. From php.net PHP 5 is the way to go 8) Other than quoting a section of a webpage, have you actually considered the implications if they were to upgrade to PHP5? It would not be in the best int...

The ITU also confirms what I said that there is no ADSL1 just ADSL, it's just what everyone has slipped into calling it, the analogy is the first model Holden, everyone calls it an FX but according to GMH there is no such thing it's a 48/215 series, the FX terminology doesn't exist as far as GMH is...

Re: Pricing/Plan Descriptions

I think your pricing pages need some changes re descriptions of plans etc. you have ADSL1 mentioned, but technically there is no such thing, also you don't mention ADSL2+ which leads people to quote they are on ADSL2 which as you know are the business plans. Maybe just a small section somewhere "ea...

Re: PHP Upgrade

Hello, the script I am trying to run requires a little more up to date version of PHP, seeing that it is currently version 4.3.8, I think it's time to bring it out of the stone ages and upgrade it to 5.2.5, even the old version can generate security issues. Can you guys upgrade it? Cheers. Your par...

Still we cant complain about $3p/gb it beats being shaped or god forbid 15cents per mb Shaping is better than $3gb. No excess charges Dont know how you can complain about the charges...I like the idea because I was strangled for usage when I was at Westnet and got shaped. 48GB should be enough for ...

Re: Hundreds of intrusion attempts recently?

Hi all. Is it just me or is anyone else copping a large amount of intrusion attempts recently? I only noticed yesterday when I was continually disconnected from the network - having trouble loading small webpages etc, the hits seem to be coming from the US but mainly China? I have scanned all my sy...

Unless anyone that roasted my posts has never gotten frustrated in their lives then you can STHU. For the most part I have been very pleased with excetels service, I just don't understand why the accounts can be rolled over at midnight. Read the FAQ's threads and you will find this isn't an isolate...

edit: It wasn't me only copped $3.00.
Serves them right for thinking that they can leech that much off the internet.

I still dont understand how someone can use that much!
