Re: PAINFULLY SLOW Speeds Night

Well no response from Exetel in over 24 hours... Speeds tonight are ABYSMAL after being up over 8MB all day. From 5pm speeds started slowly dropping, 7M, 6, 5, 4, and now this... (at 8.30pm which I imagine is peak usage time) http://www.speedtest.net/result/3499931661.png I have performed all tests ...

Re: PAINFULLY SLOW Speeds Night

Thank you for your email with Mac updated information. I have performed the test this morning. PLEASE NOTE MY INTERNET SPEED AT 8.51AM IS FINE. (IT USUALLY IS AT THIS TIME OF THE DAY) The bigger issue will be later tonight when no doubt speeds will drop once again. Obviously I will retest during the...

Re: Speeds severely dropping

I hope Exetel realises that Exetel are just as responsible for the poor performance of Exetels suppliers. Right? After all, we are paying Exetel for a quality internet service, we are not paying your supplier. Maybe you are paying them, so I would suggest that Exetel finally take some responsibility...

Re: PAINFULLY SLOW Speeds Night

Also, I use a MAC so if someone sends through link to me like before to do some sort of test, Mac computers don't open those kind of files, so please offer up an alternative. One of your forum members did not have the courtesy of replying last time when I responded that Macs don't open up MSDOS type...

PAINFULLY SLOW Speeds Night

Mentioned this the other week, and for a few days the speeds during day and night were not too bad. Still not up to scratch. Well tonight (Mon 12/5) the speeds at night are the worst I have experienced in over 7 years as an Exete customer. Absolutely appalling, and it has slowly been getting worse. ...

Re: Internet Not Working?

Spoke with a technical support staff member over the phone. They resolved the issues for me. There was an issue with IP configuration or something from the Exetel end which is now fixed. Internet is working again as normal (in fact, it seems to have fixed some slowing down issues in the process - so...

Internet Not Working?

Internet not working or connecting.

Is there a problem currently?

I have restarted modem (7 times) and done all the regular checks.

Some internet pages are loading after an extremely slooooooooow process, but mostly not working at all.

Slowing Speeds At Night Seems Widespread

Like it seems many other users, my internet is slowing up drastically at night. I am in Belmont, NSW - Newcastle area - and usually get 8MB speeds + during the daytimes. This is adequate for ADSL2 though not as fast as most people would hope for. This isn't the main issue. The MAIN issue is as soon ...

Re: morisset area asdl2 slowing down?

It isn't just happening in your area. Belmont speeds are slowing down too. It seems it is happening everywhere. Specifically during peak hour times. There is 54 pages of forum discussing this at http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2063003 Looks like its a matter of dealing with it, or...

Re: Exetel Data Storage Policy

Thanks for your reply. Just on your response a couple of further questions: 1. When you say you keep what is legally required, what does this specifically mean? What kind of data are you legally required to keep, and is this standard for all customers? Or is this kept purely on individual request ba...

Exetel Data Storage Policy

I emailed Exetel a number of weeks ago and did not receive a reply. Given so much media coverage lately on people's privacy and a move to allow the government to easier access people's electronic private lives, I would like to know what is Exetels current policy as far as data storage of their custo...

Email Question

How do I stop emails that are downloaded and read on one computer, from being downloaded when logging in from another device/computer? Its probably a stupid question, but its annoying when a laptop you might only use once every few weeks logs on and downloads 60 emails you've already read on your ma...
