Logged a ticket, got immediate support, very helpful bloke (Niroshan Liyanage), problem solved faster than any other ADSL issue I've dealt with (and I deal with a LOT in support roles).
Thanks.

Re: Where did my ADSL go?
Is my router dying of old age perhaps?

Re: Where did my ADSL go?
Which figure on the status page, Statistics or Port Status? This is showing under Statistics:
PPPoE WAN Link VPI / VCI: 8 / 35 Rx: 1262434/ 8029 Tx: 1214137/ 0
Sorry, this is showing under Port Status:
Operational Mode G.Dmt.BisPlus
Annex Type ADSL2M
Upstream 824000
Downstream 12000000

Re: Where did my ADSL go?
There are no known issue so far, can u let us know the modem sync rate? Only if you can tell me where to find it in a Billion router :D This is classic slow, takes 10 second-plus just to load this reply page. If it's under Configuration/WAN/ADSL/ADSL Parameters it tells me silly numbers anyway (but...

Where did my ADSL go?
I'm in Maroubra. Yesterday my connection dropped out multiple times
, I have only started using it today so I don't know if it will happen again - but I do know it is S-L-O-W - a bit like a capped Optus Cable connection.
Any known problems at Maroubra exchange?
-Matt

Re: Plan change charges
I don't think it is contradictory at all. "Out of contract" = "Old". Of course it's contradictory. I've been out of contract for three years. On December 1, 2010, I changed plans (after a phone call a month or two earlier from Exetel suggesting I do so). You're telling me my shiny new plan is old, ...

Re: Sudden drop in speeds.
For the last few nights (maybe longer but I wasn't using it last week) my connection has run like a crippled dog, worse than a capped Optus Cable connection. In the early hours of this morning I couldn't even get to the forum to see if there were issues. Even today it is mediocre in the "non-peak". ...

Re: adsl2 selective website connection issues
I'm having the same issue, since yesterday at least. Some sites won't open at all, some open like frozen mollasses (I have one site still part-loaded from two hours ago), and the rest open in a flash like normal. Exetel MUST have a technical reason for this - like a bad pipeline/link somewhere or a ...

I wish I was in Blacktown
At least they have an acknowledged problem and an ETA for a fix. My service has died in the butt at night again, like it was earlier in the year. My current speed off the Exetel test is 4588 kbps. Last night it was 288 kb/s (28 KB/s) - slow dial-up! Same for the past few nights. Maroubra exch...
