VoIP set up on Netcomm NF1ADV

I have upgraded from a NB9W so all the settings are basically similar. I have followed both the Netcomm install and Exetel's wiki, which although they differ everso slightly I have got all the green lights but I cannot get a dial tone. The only issue that I can think of would be that my existing Pan...

Re: Exetel rewards for referring new customers

That could be correct but the wording on the web site is ambiguous."Exetel will credit your monthly broadband access charges [plural] by $10.00 if another customer applies for, and is successful in getting, a new ADSL1/ADSL2/HSPA service with Exetel based on your service number being entered in to t...

Exetel rewards for referring new customers

Can anyone clarify whether the reward for referring new customers to Exetel is a single payment of $10 or a monthly credit of $10 per for as long as the new client stays with Exetel?
Many thanks

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

I am presently on TE-H plan so I can either accept a $10 pm increase or change to the T20-PAYU ADSL2 which would be around the same price.
On the Exetel page it shows 0 mbytes speed 0 gbytes downloads. What does this mean or what does one get on this plan?
Many thanks

Re: What have you done to my VOIP?

Tks Dazzled I must have gone over it a dozen times when resetting the modem previously but just found the Enable SIP tag matching (Uncheck for Vonage Interop) box was not checked and PSTN route rule: showed both not Phone 1. The changes to the settings that took me offline and into the hands of Tels...

Re: What have you done to my VOIP?

I hope I am on the right thread. Having changed plan to the new Exetel VoIP wef 1 November my modem has changed its settings several times. (Is that sync?) I updated to latest Netcomm firmware to C211-S306NCM-C04_R03 and it still happens. I am also getting incoming calls that turn out to be wrong nu...

Re: Setting up wireless

I should have added that as far as I can be sure the password is the one I used to set up the modem in the first place and one I use for many similar applications. Even so I still get a message that either my Network name or password is incorrect.

Re: Setting up wireless

Thanks to all for their suggestions. I have applied them but still cannot connect. My desktop connects via both ethernet and wireless and I am using the same settings and password on the laptop. The wireless connection is via automatic and there is an Airport ID showing. Connecting to 192.168.1.1 sh...

Setting up wireless

I have just installed a wireless card in an ibook and the computer shows an Airport ID on Automatic but does not connect to the Internet. It does connect via the Ethernet cable. Network Diagnostics asks for a Network name and password with several options of Wireless Security. Firstly, is Network na...

NB9W Firmware update

I have been having quality problems and drop outs on VoIP and the recommended fix is to download the latest firmware from Exetel or Netcomm. NB9W-C211-S306NCM-C04_R02.bin downloads but when I try the firmware update I get the following message inside the http://192.168.1.1 web page. "DSL Router Upda...

I have a Netcomm NB9W and am experiencing the same sort of problems outlined in this thread. Phone calls drop out requiring me to redial and I am receiving calls where I can hear the caller but they cannot hear me. Generally the voice quality has deteriorated in recent months. Sorry I cannot be spec...

Naked ADSL

Does this work on standard ADSL and does the capability of my local exchange have anything to do with whether I can use the service?

Will the naked ADSL handle an alarm system hooked up to the same line?
