Re: TP-Link Archer VR600v - VOIP settings

I worked it out... Settings were as posted above, but the "authentication ID" is the phonenumber@exetel.com.au and password was what I must have changed it to at one stage (it differed from the random alpha-numeric password in an email I found from 2008) I have that many passwords for everything, I ...

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

Bi-directional flow would be from the few websites which actually work - as previously described in earlier posts in this thread, such as facebook, and google (however while google will provide search results, clicking on any links provided in google search results does not work). It appears to have...

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

Happened again tonight... Not sure if it's related to the recent outage posted here: https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=296&t=43429 An IP address change (as per recent posts) made no difference. Connection is intermittent, including access to extel website, member facilities (these work whe...

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

It's done it again (unusually early this time). One of the suggestions made previously in email contact with Exetel was to set DNS server IP addresses in my inverter to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and reset the modem. This seems to have worked this time (as opposed to the resetting the Exetel/WAN IP address...

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

And again... I have re-opened the ref #10272258 & responded to you. Please continue the conversation under the same ticket ref. I don't see why? I'm confident it's nothing my end as I've done nothing to my account or configuration for a very long time. Is there a new time-out of 1 month on IP addres...

Optus wholesale VS. Optus cable

I have ADSL2+ connection which barely reaches maximum of ADSL1 speeds (~6000) and my "service" is Optus Wholesale (as per member account tools). This is provided through an old/existing Telstra copper paired underground cable; I presume Optus buys bulk data through Telstra and that's how I'm "servic...

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

I doubt it's anything I'm doing my end, but this is certainly a regular inconvenient occurrence; it happened again tonight.

To help others find the "IP Change" option, go to Member's Facilities, then "Services and Usage" then the "IP Change" tab near the right.

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

Started doing it again tonight. Seems to be a regular monthly occurrence... I found the previous email listing what to try to resolve it, and the "IP Change" through member's facilities seems to have done the trick; websites are working again! I'd recommend others try this in the first instance. Par...

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

It's back. Same as before - some websites work (eg: google will load and display search results, but click on any links from the result and the page times-out while trying to load). Even exetel webmail wont load (but somehow exetel forums loads). Internet banking logs me out due to time-out (caused ...

Re: Appalingly bad speeds over the past week

I have noticed both slow speed and some websites simply wont load. I've found in the past when this happens, it appears to be a problem with Exetel DNS server(s) as a modem reset does not fix it, but generally resolves itself within around 24hrs without any action from my end. This time it's been ov...

Re: Strange Billing on mobile plan

I just noticed the ExeSim plans have changed but not sure when. I recently upgraded two consecutive months from cheapest plan to mid, then Exesim Plus for $49/month and 3GB data, unlimited phone calls and SMS. I now notice the Exesim Plus is $39/month ($10 cheaper than I presently pay) and with doub...
