Re: new account without a DID???
I too would find benefit in a non-DID account as I use my pstn for incoming calls and just need an outgoing call facility.

Re: Limited connectivity for wireless
Can you please confirm that the "wireless" password you refer to is the password for the exetel account and not the wireless LAN from the router.

Re: activation
Hi, I'm having exactly the same problem. I thought it might have been a browser problem (I was using Firefox 3 on a Mac), but I tried IE6 on a Windows PC and got the same result. I submitted the activation request last night, and nothing seems to have registered. Is it the go to phone up to get the...

Re: Which router to use with E169
I have recently purchased the Netcomm n3g005w, price $145. After owning a NB9WMAXX where adsl/router + voip are integrated, i decided to try to seperate the two functions as a risk mitigation move (since 3G + voip is so far risky territory). http://www.netcomm.com.au/products/3g/?a=52339 I am not su...

Re: Exetel's TV Commercial
Why does Optus need to mentioned in the commercial at all? Why should Exetel advertise for them? It is more than fair to eleaborate that information on the website. You could change it to "where you get mobile coverage, you get mobile broadband" - personally I dont see a problem with this AS LONG a...

Re: Exetel's TV Commercial
2) Personally I think the message "If you can see an Optus mobile tower you can probably get internet fast enough for live video" is good and, given the constraints on claims that can be made in advertising and the 30 seconds available, puts across to anyone who can only get dial up a pretty clear ...

Re: VoIP and No Frills plans?
As far as I know, VOIP will still be available as a no-cost option in the user facilities. You will not get the 100 free calls, and if you want a DID, you may be charged (not 100% sure about the DID charge)

Re: multiple ATA's possible?
Am not sure exactly what you are asking, but will my best to answer. Multiple ATA's can use the same VOIP account on same ADSL connection, but only most recent registered will respond to someone dialling a DID (or maybe first, i cant remember) Seperate ATA's can use seperate VOIP accounts on same AD...

Re: Exetel's TV Commercial
The sign should maybe read Exetel Country Broadband installed for just $500 and Plans starting from $5 a month plus usage . I wouldnt even quote a installation cost as the main point. Spruik the low monthly plans (ie "2gigs for $22") You have got to catch peoples attention, not scare them away with...

How much are we talking here?thepigs2 wrote:I'm getting some of my offpeak quota used even though all computers are turned off in the off peak period. If VOIP was counted as off peak quota that would explain why.
In my experience, a netcomm NB9W can use anywhere from 2-4MB per 12 hour period just staying sync'd

The email which is sent to you from Exetel lists what your username and password is. Find that email, and copy and paste directly into the fields.
