Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)

I'm on the $85/month INC phone plan so anything that gives me more for less is great. I don't really need the extra quota but if it's going to save me money i'm all for it.

Re: Content Filtering Trial

I'll be interested in knowing when/if this filtering starts working, is there anychance of a link to a blocked page for testing sake, or perhaps adding a new blank page to your own site and then blocking it?

Hope the testing goes smoothly.

Re: ADSL2+ Wallsend exchange slow

I hope that date is DD/MM/YYYY not MM/DD/YYYY :P. That's excellent news, maybe all that pressure that was put on them made them move it up a little.

That made me laugh.

Also, thanks Exetel for your persistance in this matter, the compensation is greatly appreciated. I assume it's coming from Optus' pocket.

Re: ADSL2+ Wallsend exchange slow

Thanks Exetel for keeping on Optus' back about this. Be sure to let us know if they reply with anything remotely helpful (hey, I can dream).

Quite frankly it's embarassing that a company as large as Optus can't get it's shit together and fix this problem.

Re: ADSL2+ Wallsend exchange slow

It appears that my previous problems with packet loss seem to have completely disappears, however my speeds have dropped even lower and are now stable. My theory is that someone (likley optus) has artificially capped the users on the wallsend exchange to evenly redistribute the load to stop the pack...

Re: ADSL2+ Wallsend exchange slow

I've been having similar problems, they seem to come and go quite randomly. The major worry is the packet loss, sometimes it's fine, other times i can get >1% packet loss. It seems to really choke up around peak hours (after school, straight after midnight). Just went through and read the Whirlpool ...
