Re: Something more than just a question for Exetel...

What happened to the elitism you guys had back when you were getting rid of off-peak?! Check https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=279011#p279011 for a good explanation. It states, in part, that the problem was a small minority of serial downloaders, that sapped bandwdith from the stroke of m...

Re: Something more than just a question for Exetel...

Ah. That's good. Keeping up and beating the competition is always a good thing. That's fine, I only like it because it's still generous in comparison to what exetel were saying before (last I came here) about getting rid of off-peak completely. I doubt I'd ever use that much anyhow since I'll be mov...

Something more than just a question for Exetel...

Included Offpeak Downloads: 2am-8am 180gb!? When did you guys become so generous? What happened to the elitism you guys had back when you were getting rid of off-peak?! xD Not that I'm complaining...but, I was about to leave to TPG (with their particularly bad service). Then I went to check plans be...

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

I am completely confused as to what is being offered and what is available. All this changing is what might make me change providers after nearly 4 years of enjoying Exetel, as it had the best offer. Now, I'm not sure if the new plans are even that good. Apparently current customers can still get th...

The offer is not made to every user.
Well that's too bad...I was hoping to finally change plans to that one. But the 90gb deal isn't so bad either, especially now.

Haha.

Anyhow, any details on the possible Naked plan?

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)

One for more a Naked deal....I want to move on to VOIP so that the calls my family make are at a lower cost. I really don't care much if it bothers them that VOIP might not be working as well as PSTN. :p

Re: Changing Plans - VOIP Question/Recommendations

Leaning more towards Billion now. An issue that has been fixed won't deter me. Though I've definitely got to find out the price of it now. =P Thanks for the further clarification of the issue sable, and thanks Mike Agent N040 for your fair comments on Billion and Netcomm (considering you didn't comm...

Re: Changing Plans - VOIP Question/Recommendations

Thanks for that again IanS. Elaboration on what exactly you meant with Billion's setup helps, I don't mind if it's firmware updates and some tinkering. =P ____________________________________________________________ Re Billion - good routers but devilishly hard to get right with VoIP, and with unsol...

Re: Changing Plans - VOIP Question/Recommendations

I don't think there is "a perfect" VoIP solution out there, each device tends to have it's on unique idiosyncrasies & will take a little adjusting to get it “just right” I somewhat though that it'd be that way...but I just like Netcomm since I'm used to the interface now. But I am willing to look a...

Changing Plans - VOIP Question/Recommendations

I didn't know where to put this so I posted here... I want to change plans from the old INCPHONE Z plan (that's not longer offered, and quite frankly doesn't need to be but I just didn't want to change plans till now) to NF/23NoTel. I just want to know what modem/voip machine I should get? I've look...

Re: Large lag spikes (for everything) since IP change

Thanks for looking into this problem. I've been unable to surf properly at times and have delayed going onto Battlenet on Warcraft 3: TFT because of it.

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

Exetel still offers the best off peak period of any ISP in Australia. Sigh, this is true. I just wish I could keep my 12 hour off-peak period. I now feel like I've lost a very good thing. Thanks to this I will now be paying more attention whenever those emails are sent to me and will visit these br...
