Re: Very slow wireless broadband lately
This is the first time that I've used it since my original post.
I've noticed that there has been a very slight download speed improvement, however uploads are really slow: .06 Mbps
If I cancel my account can I get a refund on my unused data?
Regards

Very slow wireless broadband lately
I've had one of the pre-paid wireless HSPA connections since November and it's been great until Friday. I've noticed quite a big decrease in performance and nothing in my surroundings have changed. I.e. I only ever use this in one place. Screenshot of recent performance. wirelssslow.PNG I had origin...

Re: Changing plans fee
I'm sure Exetel will consider it, but the question has been previously raised and the response was that the $10 would not be waived. It will just have to be a fee that you factor in to your decision whether to change plans or not. I have just been given a 'Cease Plan' email and am forced to either ...

Re: Confused! Just got "Cease Plan" email! Help!
I got this email too, and I am disgusted that I am being charged to change plans because Exetel no longer wish to supply my package.
I don't care about switching plans, and I know $10 isn't much...but it's the principle of the thing.

Re: Strange issues with internet browsing-pages don't load b4 f5
I have a Billion 7800N modem. It was found to be a bug that affected a handful of users.
Upgrading it to the latest firmware 1.04a will resolve the issue

Great idea, although I'm happy with my current plan.

Did multiple pings and didn't re-occur, but you'll notice the latency fluctuates quite dramatically: Pinging 220.233.0.9 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 220.233.0.9: bytes=32 time=132ms TTL=60 Reply from 220.233.0.9: bytes=32 time=108ms TTL=60 Reply from 220.233.0.9: bytes=32 time=102ms TTL=60 Rep...

I am also having this issue in the last 2 days. Noticeable while gaming online. Just did a ping test to Exetel and got: Pinging 220.233.0.9 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Re: John Linton says gamers "have no life" - please explain
You should be more offended by the Media tonight saying that gamers are the woe to all the violence of today's youth, because they are desensitized by games and the violence in them. Someone's opinion, even taken out of context is after all just an opinion. I didn't say I was offended...I asked for...

Re: John Linton says gamers "have no life" - please explain
Thanks for that...update from Gizmodo: UPDATE: OK, folks, here’s the verbatim quote. my quotes are imperfect above, as John Linton himself has pointed out below, but I’m sure you’ll find the message remains quite clear: The number of people who want 100 megabits are [pause] almost none today and are...

John Linton says gamers "have no life" - please explain
I read with interest this article over at Gizmodo: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/03/exetel-head-honcho-gamers-have-no-life/ Yesterday afternoon at the Kickstart Forum up in Queensland, there was a bit of a panel discussion about the government’s IT policy over the past 12 months. You know, NBN, Int...

Lodged a ticket and had a response. They did a line test (didn't reveal the results) and now I'm getting 8mb/s downloads...so back to normal for now.
