Re: Slow ADSL - 250KB/s downloads in Perth

Same issue here in Victoria. Checked the 'usage graphs' 2 odd hours ago and the blue upoload indicator on the optus link was being hammered/maxed out. Now for some unusual reason when I go to view the 'bandwidth available in your state it results in: Firefox can't find the file at http://public.mrtg...

Re: Clarification of download limits on old plan

Thanks for the reply : - ) Shot an email off to billing. Haven't neared the 180gb cao for some time however would really be bummed if I did exceed it only to have the net shaped/capped for the next month from 12am-12pm. I guess it may have changed due to the cache system (?) exetel has implemented m...

Re: Clarification of download limits on old plan

Hi Jolkin, Thanks for replying. ... in the user page it says 'unlimited' during offpeak 12am-12pm..During peak it's a 30gb cap with 50cents per excess GB.... Unfortunately as mentioned above there was a still some sort of cap of 180gb in the unlimited period and exceeding it would result in being sh...

Clarification of download limits on old plan

Hello, I tried posting in 'products and services' however it seems I can't create a new topic in that section for some reason. On an old plan using FP-D2 (8192/384) I don't want to update to ADSL2 as my connection is solid yet quite a 'noisy' line and it's been solid for 6 years now and would like t...

6 Years today.

Wow, 6 years ago today I applied for adsl through exetel. Overall it's been excellent! Great pings to gaming servers, can max out my old old copper line adsl 1 @ 666KBps which is impressive considering it's country area and located roughly 5km away from the exchange! Had a few hiccups along the way ...

Re: Speeds slowed right down recently

I too have speed problems. Usually I can download at 600KBps now I max out on 50KBps. Browsing, streaming and gaming are almost unusable. I'm paying excess for offpeak usage so it's unusal to think exetel is capping/throttling again. :( Please do help. Test run on 26/08/2011 @ 05:25 AM Mirror: Exete...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Can I please have some clarification as to what will happen in terms of payment with the plan I am on. Does my plan remain unchanged until the April? What happens to this plan after April? Thanks Plan Type: FP-D2 Monthly Access Charge: $75.00 Peak Download Limit (Mbyte): 30000 Peak Period Option: 12...

Re: Cheezeburger sites don't load.

All working here on failblog

Using:
Firefox version: 3.6.12
Adblock Plus 1.3.1 (subscribed to all adblock subscriptions & updated)

Edit:
failblog.com results in saying: IP Banned (?????)
failblog.org works fine though.

Re: Churn Request Info

Having billing saying they have waived the $100 cancellation fee as of midnight 31/10/10 yet me churning and notifying before that then being told I still have to pay the $100 termination fee is total rubbish. Previous thread was deleted. Billings department via email is not even complying with thei...

Re: Churn Request Info

That thread no longer exists. So I guess I will have to post here:

I guess this thread will be deleted
[i]Why? You raise a matter worth mentioning, even if it's been raised before. I think you will find the contract terms permit some variations. The forum has it's lim...

Churn Request Info

Hello, my connection has been managed/capped/shaped during the offpeak unlimited period. Also a $3 admin fee has been applied to my 12 month contract without any consent. I plan to submit a churn request to an ISP that can meet my requirements the moment I get an email/response back reguarding this ...

Re: Speed issues, pages timing out

Seems it may have been a bad phone line filter or possibly the wind causing problems. All seems fine now : - )

Speed issues, pages timing out

Hello, my internet is very intermittent. While I'm not dropping out my speeds are fluctuating. Sites timing out, sites not loading, etc. It's up and down 99% down. I'm on the Rye exchange in Victoria. I'm not sure if my connection is being shaped or managed. I don't think this is the case as I've on...

Why is my connection being managed?

Hello, I'm trying to figure out why my internet connection is being managed from between 12:00am-12:00pm? I've downloaded 17GB during offpeak this month on the 'unlimited' plan yet for some reason my connection is being shaped/managed? I was in live support for over 3 hours yesterday, a staff member...
