First two month free, but billed?

Hi.

Just returned to an Exetel service, having moved back to the city. I took up the 12 month contract with the first two months free, but have just received a bill for the first month. Is the discount applied later?

forward voicemail to email

I'm trying to set up voicemail forward to email to keep in touch while travelling.

I've provided an email address in the box on the configuration page, but nothing gets forwarded. What other steps do I need, please?

Porting from a Telstra business account to an individual Exe

I just completed a five year term with an employer. At the start of the term, I ported my Exetel number to my employer's account.(phone was part of the package.) Now I want to port it back to Exetel. I have a letter of authority on the employer's letterhead authorising this. Does anyone know if ther...

Re: VOIP registration drops out

Thanks for that Surfn Chick.
I shall try the firmware upgrade. Already use the numerical SIP info.

This issue aside, very happy with the router. simple setup, good range, various extras that I'll get around to using.

Not on NBN thus far.

Re: VOIP registration drops out

Thanks, Kavindas.

yes, I've done a hard reset. I'll try the softphone option as suggested and get back to you.

VOIP registration drops out

I have a Netcomm nf3adv wireless router with PSTN failback. Every 2 or 3 days the VOIP drops out, and the failback fails to failback - that is, there's no connection either via VOiP or via PSTN. ADSL is unaffected. Logging on to the router, all is normal except that the SIP is "unregistered". Reboot...

Re: Sim compatibility with iphone 3G

Thanks KavindaS. The phone is actually locked in a screen that only offers "Connect to itunes" and emergency calls. Plugging it into the computer produces the message: "The sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible sim cards from a supported carrier may be use...

Sim compatibility with iphone 3G

I have a HSPA cap 35 plan, currently using a Nokia E71. I'm attempting to transfer from the Nokia to an iPhone 3G. On first inserting the sim into the iPhone, it connected without trouble. Now having reset the iPhone to remove its previous owner data, I get a message stating the sim is incompatible ...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

Someone from provisioning called me in November offering a new plan, OTAA, with a $20 change of plan charge. I made this change on 1 December, and was duly charged the $20 change of plan charge. The January Newsletter flagged a price rise on "older plans", and recommended changing to a new one. Foru...

Account number for porting

Much to my distaste, I have to port my mobile number to my employer's service with a very large and aggressive telecommunications carrier. To make this happen, I have to provide the carrier with my Exetel account number. There's no account number on my voice invoices. What number do I need to give t...

mail on server not downloading

I have a number of messages accumulating on the Exetel server, despite my mail program checking mail. Today, three out of four messages downloaded, but the other is still on the server, visible both in webmail and on the account viewer in my (Mac) email program. To be exact, up until 29 October, eve...
