SMS Costs while Roaming - Have I been overcharged?

I would normally raise a ticket for this, but the Helpdesk feature seems to have a bug where it won't let me type in my email address (just shows an empty drop-down box), so I can't send it. But that's another story. I've been checking the Mobile Meter on the Exetel website following a recent trip I...

Strange Problem - stopped receiving SMS

I've got a strange problem. I've got a Nokia E71 signed up to Exetel's HSPA M1- HA service and in general everything (mobile calls, VOIP calls, sending SMS either via the mobile network or exeSMS, HSPA browsing) works fine. Except for the past 2 weeks now I haven't received a single SMS. I've checke...

Re: Nokia e71 setup help

Hmm, switched it off and left the battery out for 10 mins. Still no luck, same error.

Will give it until the morning, otherwise it's support ticket time...

Re: Nokia e71 setup help

Ok then, thought I'd given it some time, but will switch it off and wait 5-10 mins.

Will post back with an update.

Thanks Biscuits :)

Re: Nokia e71 setup help

Just got account activated (can make calls etc) and followed settings as described above for my e71. Unfortunately I still get "Packet data not available. Check network services." Have gone Tools->Settings->Connection->Access points: Connection Name: Exetel1 Data bearer: Packet Data Access Point Nam...

UPDATE: Have had a port reset done (many thanks for that), and that has improved my line synch dramatically (~14000000 bytes/sec). However my download speeds are still quite poor: [`[*Test Results from Oz Broadband Speed Test*]`] [(---------------------------...

Very poor line synch after getting a Billion 7401VGP

G'day everyone, Have just upgraded my Netgear DG834 v3 to a Billion 7401VGP, and while I have a connection ok, I am worried about whether I have set everything up ok as my line synch is ~4043100. As I'm assuming this is in bytes/sec, this seems extremely slow for my ADSL2+ service given that I leave...

G'day everyone, This morning I don't know what has been going on, but my ADSL2+ (Optus) speeds have been the worst EVER (in 2 years I have been with Exetel). I have no idea what is going on, and am looking for some help/advice. Here is some information that I hope will help: Exchange: Edgecliff (NSW...

Any word on which Korean TV channels will be streamed? Not at this early stage. Our main objective is to establish that a widely accepted standard of quality can be sustained over a wide user base at an economic cost to Exetel. If that proves to be the case and the licensing with the networks can b...

Umm, I can't seem to get it working either in VLC (my preferred Media Player), nor in WMP11 (athough MS website states it doesn't support MMS anymore). I get the same erroe message as gong_guy above. I'm pretty sure something's wrong with my settings somewhere (mms streams never seem to like my comp...

We expect to activate the test service by Friday 15th June if everything goes to schedule. We would provide a test service (1 or 2 channels) early in the following week. We will begin to provide connectivity and contractual details next week. I take it by the absence of anything that the test servi...
