Re: Broken ADSL2 on the Dural NSW Exchange?

My ADSL service was finally ixed on the 9th of April - after Optus Wholesale swapped my service to a new port on a replacement DSLAM It took 2 months and 1 week - way too long I'm afraid - hopefully there are lessons learnt on how Exetel can interface with Optus to get issues like this dealt with fa...

Re: Technical support fixed connection issue

I wouldn’t call tech support again- 1hr waiting in the queue, and very noisy background, I barely can hear and understand what someone is talking to me.. I’ve had a number of calls with Exetel support agents over the last two months (probably at least 30 so I am speaking from experience) that mirro...

Re: Broken ADSL2 on the Dural NSW Exchange?

Thanks It's disappointing that no one has told me that information yesterday when I rung Exetel for an update The TXT message I got yesterday from Exetel said a technician would be reviewing this on or before 8/4 and required access to the point of entry of the service to my home - I assume that thi...

Re: Broken ADSL2 on the Dural NSW Exchange?

Still down Next step is apparently to send an engineer to check the connection to my home next week As we've told Exetel there are two of us on the Dural experiencing the same issue - the drop out of our services happened at exactly the same time and we have the same issue - no ADSL service and Auth...

Well done!
I think you've cracked it - works for me now
Glad this will be on the record for others who are trying to work it out in the future

Re: Outlook 2019

Thanks for posting the screen shots - these are the same settings I was using with my earlier implementation of Outlook - the certificate problem has only come up since the move to Outlook 2019

According to our system administrators, no issues within Exetel network.
I guess that’s a very easy response for them to give which leaves your customers without an answer - happy to provide copies of the error coming up with your security certificate if you tell me where to send them

Re: Outlook 2019

There are no instructions there for Outlook 2019 - the latest version listed is Outlook 2010
The issue is with Outlook 2019 - before I upgraded to this version I was not having an issue and the certificate from Exetel was not causing an error as it now is
How do we get Exetel Support to address this?

Re: Outlook 2019

Happy to share my settings with Outlook 2019 on Windows 10 but can't see how to attach images to this post
I get the Certificate error but it does download my emails after I click through the error
Any ideas on what the correct settings should be?

Re: The Exetel 15~20 Year Club

Can we get a new option added to the poll - 15 years :-)
I think you could reduce the number of options in the post to take out the 1-5 options - maybe up to 5, up to 10 then 11 onwards?
I’m looking forward to the 20 year club!

Re: The Exetel 15~20 Year Club

Ah memory lane time. I was one of the first to sign up and have enjoyed my time with Exetel I used to love the dialogue with John and Annette Linton and watching them cut the Whirlpool th trolls to bits. I don’t go to the WP Exetel forum so much these days but I’m sure the trolls are still around We...
