Re: Change of plan

Something cheaper with less downloads. I don't need as many Gbytes as I'm permitted now and I'm on a pension as well so every penny counts. But I do like the speed, even if I only get maybe half that. I would probably only get half of whatever speed I went to anyway so I'll stay with 8192 if I have ...

Re: Change of plan

One of the reasons I chose Exetel was that it offered 8192 speeds in an area where no other ISP offered faster than 1500 speeds. ADSL2 is not available in my area and is not likely to be for some time yet. Any idea if the 8192 will be reintroduced? I can't see much of a rush for 8192 when ADSL2 is g...

Change of plan

I am on Plan TELN, 8192/384 and wish to change plans. I see no other plans on 8192 download. I know Exetel are not offering 8192 to new customers any more but I thought it still applied to customers already on it. Has 8192 ceased altogether? Have I been changed to 1500 or only when (if) I change?

Re: Unable to access my site

That worked! Somehow it didn't accept my earlier new password but it likes this one :)
Thanks Andrew.

Re: Unable to access my site

The password is the one given to me by the automatic password changer :) I copied and pasted it.

Re: Unable to access my site

Not sure what "service number" is but I've changed the login name to FW_BRIDGE. I did try the old login name before that, just in case.

Unable to access my site

I've had a computer crash two days ago and dragged out my emergency computer. It is all set up with CuteFTP (which I was using on the old one) but when I tried accessing my website, I kept getting error messages that either the logon id or the password was incorrect. I tried both home.exetel.com.au ...

Re: Directory does not exist

Thanks for that, Andrew. 2 quick questions, please. First, on my old setup, I had entered "home.exetel.com.au" as the logon address and "/bridge" as the subdirectory. The temporary one doesn't accept the "/bridge" but when the changeover is completed, will I need to put the "/bridge" back in again? ...

Directory does not exist

Hi, I registered for my new website so I can transfer over my pages from the old one. The registration was successful and I received the email confirmation. However, when I attempt to access the new site to upload the pages, I get an error message: "ERROR:> [8/09/2008 1:50:28 PM] Requested action no...

Fine but it doesn't answer the question.

This sounds like an issue that is specific to Incredimail. Perhaps you can create a temporary Outlook or Outlook Express POP3 email account, and check the option to "Leave mail on server". Then test the account to see if your email downloads correctly. If it does, it narrows the list of suspects do...

Not receiving some emails

I've joined up almost a year ago and have had no problems with emails whatsoever. That is, until about 2 weeks ago. Suddenly some emails stayed on the server instead of being downloaded to my HD. I'm using (and have always been using) Incredimail, similar to OE but without all the viruses written fo...

Technical question

The instructions on the facilities page state: address your fax to "destination fax"@fax.exemail.com.au The bit in bracket, is that the fax number concerned? E.g. if you want to fax something to fax no. 12345678 then 12345678@fax.exemail.com.au, without brackets? Or with brackets? Same question for ...
