Re: Price Increase Of $5.00 per Month On All Old ADSL Plans

Yeah I have no idea about this, I thought at some point I was paying for a certain amount of downloads in the offpeak period, now I'm vaguely told to be ethical about it? So it sounds like from what you are saying is that 210gb or so would be too much? Well I'm in the 80's now so I'm just going to d...

Re: Price Increase Of $5.00 per Month On All Old ADSL Plans

Simple question. I've noticed that my plan seems to now be Unlimited Offpeak. I believe in the past it's been "unlimited" but only if you download no more than x amount, then we'll have a stern word with you or something. So is it unlimited and I can go nuts this month and download to my hearts cont...

Re: Price Increase Of $5.00 per Month On All Old ADSL Plans

Are we getting free plan changes or no? I'd like to go to FP-C1 now, cos of the 50c per extra gb as opposed to $3. That is my entire question. I understand I'll still be on my old plan otherwise, which would be exactly the same as FP-C1 except I'd be paying more per excess gb, may as well switch ove...

Re: Tasmanian PoP 'Open For Business'

I haven't heard from the provisioning people so I thought I'd bring it up here. On the screen where one can change address in the user facilties, it is still not allowing Tasmanians to do so when you click confirm. Could someone please fix this up so I can get my Exetel service back on at my new add...

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these two plans actually losing some peak downloads for the same price? Is this a negative bonus?! :?:

Re: Revised/New ADSL1 Plans

Okay, so assuming that the fault on the main page not allowing any Tasmanians to move address is fixed soon, are you saying I shouldn't sign up now but wait until I'm actually moved into my new house? Because I was just going to schedule it to be put on the day after my telephone is scheduled to be ...

Re: Revised/New ADSL1 Plans

Not that Tasmanians can apply yet it seems, as it still won't let me apply.

Re: Revised/New ADSL1 Plans

I see these seem to be available now, but it says from September, I have to sign up now because I'm moving house on Friday, so what does from September mean when they're all up right now for selection? What will happen when I try to move my connection, will it not be available until September 1st?

Re: Broadband availability in Tasmania

I've read on this board that they hoped to be able to reopen new applications for Tasmanians by July 09, and now it's here I haven't heard anything either. Surely there's some news now that the Basslink is open? I am not looking forward to churning away from Exetel after 3 years in about 5 weeks whe...

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

Wo! What? If I move I can't take my Exetel service in Tasmania? Are you serious? I'm currently living in Hobart and am moving in 4 months, I've been with Exetel for 3 years or so. If I move house am I screwed?

Edit - Oh wait, do you mean if I move from Melbourne to Tasmania?

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

At the risk of drawing the ire of Admin, a couple of quick questions. 1. If I want to change from my 54gb/20gb plan to the new 60gb/30gb plan, is there a fee involved? 2. When the new plans page says 'no new ADSL Services are not available in Tasmania' does that mean that I can't change to one of th...

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

27gb to 30gb? I thought I was only getting 20gb? That's why my plan details page says too. Do I miss out? My page says I'm on Tel J plan.

Re: Modification To 'Shaping' Option

I have to say I think this is rubbish. I thought the whole point of shaping is so we CAN'T take advantage or "abuse the system"?? The other point of it is so I don't have to worry about getting charged extra, as I accept that if I get my 48gb by the 15th of the month that I'm just going to have very...

Re: Direct Debit failure

Which bank? Commonwealth Bank. I think it's pretty standard, I stupidly took out all my money so it got overdrawn by $55 when Exetel direct debited me, now the $55 has gone back out of the account and the CBA fined me $35. I still haven't heard anything from Exetel, I have money in the account now a...
