Re: Steam Throttling

It probably is being throttled, I guarantee xbox, nintendo and steam downloads all get throttled and we're just not told about it.

No NBN connection

My NBN connection has been completely down since about 11pm last night. It just totally dropped out and hasn't come back since. Have restarted my modem several times and also restarted power on the NBN box itself. All lights on the NBN box are normal also do the problem isn't on my end. Service numb...

Re: Uploads counting towards download quota?

Perhaps you should update your Fibre FAQ on this forum because it states that Exetel doesn't charge for uploads

Uploads counting towards download quota?

My usage stats are saying i have gone over my quota (of 500gb) and have used 508gb this month!! From what I can see it is adding 307gb of downloads to 201gb of uploads, and now my speed has been throttled and is basically unusable as a result of this miscalculation. Can you please fix it asap! My se...

Re: Typical NBN 100/40 Speeds?

what are these "line conditions"? It's optical fibre, not copper from the 1970's. It should be more than capable of handling 100Mbit/s

Re: Typical NBN 100/40 Speeds?

No ticket opened. service number is 0201324167.
All I want to find out is why 80mbit/s (approx) is the max speed i've ever reached (no it's not my router) and if exetel can do anything on their end to remedy this.

Typical NBN 100/40 Speeds?

Just wondering what some typical speeds are? Using the exetel speedtest and speedtest.net I can get roughly 80/38. Using netflix's speed test site (fast.com) which I can almost guarantee has some pretty decent hardware behind it i can only ever get about 60Mbps. This is over cat6 ethernet tested bot...

Re: Cannot change ADSL2 telephone settings

My Residential Technical Support ticket number is 9012618 . In which I asked for any extra telephone settings to be removed from my account as I don't wish to use them at all and don't want to be charged for the upcoming month's usage on my bill due on the 28th April. To be more specific they curren...

Re: Cannot change ADSL2 telephone settings

Can you tell me why these are on my bill/invoice to start with?
Did they get carried over from Telstra when I recently switched my landline to exetel, or are they just default extras that come with your phone service?
My customer number is 71824 if that helps. Thanks.

Cannot change ADSL2 telephone settings

The "Change ADSL2 Telephone Settings" section in My Exetel doesn't actually let you change anything at all. I'm somehow getting charged for MessageBank, Telephone Handset Rental and Calling number display, and I don't remember agreeing to any of these. You should really let users turn things on and ...
