Just received an email saying that Exetel is implementing a new VoIP Platform viewtopic.php?f=296&t=44273.
Does this mean that VoIP on mobile while OS will be more hack proof?

Re: Voip registration from OS IP address
Then that's a risk not worth taking. I'll stick to Hangouts and SMS through PushBullet.

Re: Voip registration from OS IP address
Hmmm... I was about to ask a question here about setting up VoIP on an MIUI phone using the built in client and then taking this OS for holidays. BUT now you've got me rethinking. If there is a chance that my credentials could be stolen and I end up with a large bill then I don't want it at all. How...

Shaping = No Service
I've been using Exetel for about 12 years now. Yesterday for the first time I received an email saying that I've exceeded my allowance and will have my peak bandwidth shaped for the remainder of the billing period. BUT rather than being shaped I'm receiving no bandwidth whatsoever during peak hours....

Re: Transfer VoIP Number
After speaking with James D at Exetel I've decided not to port away. Exetel service is great.
Thanks James.

Transfer VoIP Number
Is it possible to transfer my VoIP number to another provider?
I'd like to keep the number in my name but move to another voice service provider.

Re: Mobile VoIP Android
We have also recommended http://www.zoiper.com/ Thanks. I notice that Zoiper also has the ability to have all settings auto configured for optimum service with Exetel. When I go to set up a new account there is a list with various Australian service providers. By the looks of it when you select one...

Mobile VoIP Android
What's the best app to use for VoIP on Android? I have been using Csip Simple but for some reason it's not working for me at the moment. Is it possible for someone at Exetel to make a "Wizard" for Csip Simple? I see that there are a number of VoIP providers who have set these up and it means that th...

Engaged Tone When Calling Exetel VoIP
I've successfully setup a VoIP service on a Netcomm NB16WV and it works fine except for one thing.
Whenever I call another Exetel VoIP number it gives an engaged tone even though the other number is not in use.
Is there a setting that needs to be changed?

Setup Voicemail from Another Number
On Sunday I put a request in to have Voicemail activated on a landline (Optus I think). Since then the Voicemail service has been activated but we have lost dial tone and can't dial out. Incoming calls work fine and ADSL works fine. I've spoken to support and said they're organising a field tech to ...

Can I transfer ownership of my VoIP number to someone else?
Either if they are an Exetel customer or not.

Re: Termination of service
I think they're not going to say the real reason why because it's worse than the loss of goodwill from the customers who have been given a termination notice. The truth is most probably that there are financial problems. From what I can see everyone on the old $20 + $20 100GB plan is being shifted t...

IP Change - Dead Ports &/or addresses
Has anybody else had this experience? We get 30 free ip changes per year. But on close to half the times that I make a change my service goes completely dead. Usually this means going back and forth with Exetel support as they do various things. One support member told me that there are some ip addr...
