Re: Hacked by group called ChaosCC?

I also got an email from them today. They state that they got my email address by hacking one of the exetel.com.au mail servers. I haven't had spam mail for a few years on my Exemail addresses but over the past month I have started to get a few. The majority show as coming from my address but I can ...

Refund for ADSL2 and Phone Cancellation

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help sort out my ADSL2 cancellation refund. I've been trying since the 9th May, and still have had no response via email support. On the 8th May my Exetel NBN was connected and I switched over to it. On the 9th I spoke to Christina on Sales and cancelled my ADSL2 serv...

Re: Did these emails come from Exetel

OK, thanks Dazzled. I'll ignore them then. I wouldn't have even considered them except I got that phone call a few hours earlier and thought it may be connected.....Patricia

Did these emails come from Exetel

Hi, on the 12th April I received 2 emails from noreply@exemail.com.au. They were both titled 'Scanned image from MX-2600N' and both contained an attachment, but no body letter. Are these from Exetel? I'm not opening the attachment until I know for sure what it is about and if they really are from Ex...

Re: No service

OK, thanks. I will order it. From what the page says there is a charge of $20, but I will need one to be able to use the phone.

Re: No service

OK. In the Quick Start Guide that came with the phone it says "Insert the SIM or USIM card provided by the mobile telephone service provider" and then states "Only MicroSIM cards work with the device", so I would presume that is correct. I opened it and there are 2 spots under the battery, 1 bigger ...

Re: No service

Thanks. I had a look, and I presume I would need to choose the Combo SIM. Is that correct?

Re: No service

The dropout issue has continued on my trips to the city and so my son bought me a new phone. I received today but found my SIM card doesn't fit. He got a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and it only takes a Micro SIM card. Who do I contact to get a new SIM posted out to me? I'm on the lowest plan and I hope t...

Re: No service

Thanks for the quick reply. I was travelling down from the Central Coast and I know in places the reception does drop out around the Hawkesbury area. I have another old phone, so I will charge it and take with me as a tester in case it happens again but first I'll reboot the phone next time and see ...

No service

Hi, on at least 2 occasions over the past fortnight my mobile [Optus] has had no service. The two times that I'm aware of happened when I was on Strathfield Station and lasted for at least 30 mins. It could have happened more often, as I don't use my phone a lot, but those are the 2 times I tried to...

Re: Offpeak times in CP

James, just wanted to send appreciation and let you know that support was able to help me with my ADSL2 and mobile plans. Piyumi explained to me about the Off Peak hours in regards the old plan and I understand that now . As usual I received excellent support and help from the Exetel staff. Have to ...

Re: Offpeak times in CP

Thanks for your reply James. I believed I had Off Peak Downloading as Peak Time and Off Peak Time was listed in my contract letter from Venurukshi on 1/06/11 @ 4:36 pm. I also had detailed notes of my phone conversation with her in regards the plan change but I cannot find those. Her email states Pe...

Re: Offpeak times in CP

Thanks for the reply Venurukshi. Why wasn't I notified that OffPeak Downloads had been removed from my account plan? I have always had OffPeak Usage on any of the plans I've been on. Yes, it changed from time to time but it was always there. It was on my present plan in 2012. I do understand that Of...
