Re: NBN FTTN slow

You may or may not be aware of these things you can check prior to phoning Tech support or lodging a ticket. REad these to see if it helps. Better to understand should it persist as you maybe able to rectify the issue yourself. https://www.exetel.com.au/broadband/nbn/about-speeds testquote=h45e post...

Re: NBN FTTN slow

I can probably help you in the first instance. You could add to your question the region or suburb you live in. Have you checked the forum for current maintenance and outages? Hi, Just wondering if anyone's else NBN is slow? I use to get 96mb/s now only 55mb/s. Just did another speed test, down to 3...

Re: WIFI speed on NBN 100 plan

No worries. Happy to help where I can. My go to is to check the forum for outages before I start fiddling with anything. Next I use the search box to see if there is a current topic for my situation. 6 months can still be early days for some disruption not saying that is your problem though. Looks l...

Re: WIFI speed on NBN 100 plan

Again in the interim, have you checked the Forum "current maintenance and outage updates" to see if your area has been disrupted. (No need for you to share that info on here). Try turning the modem off, and back on after 5-10 minutes. Just a suggestion, try a different device if that's possible. If ...

Re: WIFI speed on NBN 100 plan

Hello, I will assist with your initial enquiry. First, have you checked your User facility to confirm you are on the new plan? Second, a speed test will never be accepted or accurate over WIFI! You must have a direct connection from your modem to a desktop or laptop. Do these things first then come ...

Re: Virus/Spam Protection From Exetel

No it doesn't. I have a ticket number but no one is addressing the issue. It appears the Quarantine has stopped working altogether and and the amount of emails from myself has increased.
Could an engineer please look at this.

Re: NBN Set up

Hello, the modems usually come pre-configured. Just plug it in.
However you must wait until you receive notification by way of sms/email from Exetel advising that your NBN is active. Hope this helps.

Re: Related to Outage : Unplanned Fibre Network Outage - All Suburbs, NSW

Re: Extremely slow speeds

Are you sure your on your NBN network in your home? Your images appear to have your Virgin mobile service? Am I missing something? I’m having extremely slow speeds lately, however today has been the worst. I have tried power cycling many times and using alternate modems. I have been keeping logs of ...

Re: Frequent disconnections all day

Hi, we are experiencing repeated disconnections from the internet. The first disconnection started very early today and has happened frequently within the last 2 hours. Not sure where you are located but Exetel has reported possible Fibre network outages across multiple suburbs in Qld. They may exp...

Re: SNR Question

Best to know how far you are from the Node. I am aware of some residents getting 75 Mbps but they have the node out the front of their home. So if it is 800 m (which some are) from your home this will reduce the speed also. If the supplier system allows, still Exetel can provision a 100/40 on FTTN s...

Re: Instructions For Setting Up TP Link VG3631 For NBN FttP

Could the forum please explain why everything with modems seems to revolve around FTTN. There is still a need for modems for FTTP as we are now approaching our sixth year with the Trial areas of Australia and modems are now needing to be replaced. What modems do Exetel sell for residential that supp...

Speech to Text facility

Could the forum kindly confirm if this facility is still available on Exetel's mobile service for messages left on our phone? I was receiving "speech to text" prior to Xmas 2016 but as of the last few weeks the messages are presenting as Voicemail.

Thankyou for your assistance.
