Re: New ADSL2 service not working

Thanks mate looks like it has just come up.

Fixed the speed issue, was caused by a ringer at my end. Jumped from ~6mbps to 14.5mbps. SWEET

New ADSL2 service not working

Hi, It looks like my transfer from ADSL1 to a Powertel based ADSL2 service has completed as the modem now reports ADSL2+ sync as of 1:30pm or so. I have ADSL2 sync with a solid sync light and also a PPP connection. However, I can't access anything. I can ping the primary Exetel DNS successfully, but...

Re: Transfer from ADSL1 to ADSL2

I just checked the status page now, and it says Rejection Date: 0000-00-00, what does this mean? My number comes up as being not on the order list when I enter it in here: http://www.exetel.com.au/new-user-information.php

Re: Transfer from ADSL1 to ADSL2

The transfer is what cancels the ADSL1 service - the ADSL1 service is left active until the transfer. The text on that page isn't worded in the best manner - but there's only one order - which is the transfer. That's good and as I'd thought. All right so basically what you are telling me is, NO dow...

Re: Transfer from ADSL1 to ADSL2

I've just had a look at the Changed Service Status page in the Member's area, and seen this: Service Number: 03xxxxxxxx Current Contract End Date: 2007-12-27 Request to Cancel Current Service Date: 2009-12-10 Cancel Current Service: NO I nominated 10/12/2009 as the date for: "Date You Request to Sta...

Re: Transfer from ADSL1 to ADSL2

Cool, I submitted it, hope to have it in the 7-10 days indicated (if not before!) I've been waiting AGES for ADSL2 on this exchange, which was one of the last to get upgraded. I wonder what the average turnaround time is these days for transfers?

Re: Transfer from ADSL1 to ADSL2

Mine was a few years ago and I was on the phone at the moment of transfer - I was off for minutes, not hours. Remember that bundled plans take your telephone away from Telstra as well - the number doesn't change. If you really must keep a Telstra line (goodness knows why) you will need a Powertel p...

Re: Transfer from ADSL1 to ADSL2

Try this first (Optus based) : http://sq.exetel.com.au/cgi-bin/adsl2_nf_with_phone.pl Or this (Powertel based): http://sq.exetel.com.au/cgi-bin/adsl2_nf_no_phone.pl If it's available then you just apply online, and Exetel does everything. Cool, is there any downtime if I transfer? It says this: You...

Transfer from ADSL1 to ADSL2

Hi,

I am currently on an ADSL1 Telstra wholesale based service. ADSL2 has just become available in my area. Can I transfer to the ADSL2 service or do I have to disconnect and reapply?

Thanks

Re: Possible Change To Off Peak Period

Make it 10pm-10am, reduce the quota slightly or keep it as is. 2am is too late to start using it and I rarely use the net during the day. I think starting at 2am would make Exetel less competitive against another ISP like TPG who have greater off peak usage allowances but stingy periods.

I'm pleased that you will investigate as to why I could not view the blocked page. I have three machines and a VOIP service on my network. I have run AVG (database 269.22.1/1348), Adaware and Spybot with the newest virus definitions. They picked up a couple of tracking cookies but no trojans, viruse...

I PMed you. Or even better yet could you fix it so I can access the spam page.

It would be good if I could at least connect to sites within Exetel such as forum.exetel and helpdesk.exe so that it would be easier for me to get support in future.

Thanks
