Re: Goodbye, Farewell and Amen. :-(

I'm back! Exetel is without a doubt, hands down, no questions asked the best ISP EVER! James went so far above and beyond the call of duty to work things out for me that words can't do it justice. Thanks James, thanks Exetel. It's good to be with the best. Here's to being with Exetel for a long time...

Goodbye, Farewell and Amen. :-(

Well it's been nearly 7 years now and I'm sorry to say I have to go. I'm moving to Menai and there are no Optus ports available in the exchange. I reckon they've all been taken up by Exetel customers! Anyways, I've been a very happy camper and I'm sorry to be leaving. I'll check availability every n...

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)

1) ADSL2 (plus telephone line) - $50.00 per month - downloads/uploads @ 50 cents per gb - capped at $A75.00 per month I'd be in on that. Gives me the option of a cheaper fee per month than I'm currently on but still know my maximum spend if I do need to download a large amount one month. Cheers, Pe...

Off peak limits.

Hi All, I recently got an email about my Exetel plan going up by $5/month so I'm looking at the other options available. I don't download a whole lot during peak times so I'm thinking the Z/21IncTel plan is the way to go. I'm just a little unsure about the offpeak limits and how that works. I unders...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

Just so I'm completely clear....... I changed off-peak to the 0200-1400 hours option in June. The change came into effect this month. So.......I get to keep the that off peak period correct? Cheers, PeacefulWarrior P.S: There were just too many pages for me to read through them all so that's why I ask

Re: Slow internet

Well I've just logged a ticket as the problem is occurring regularly during peak time.

Was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or if there is any known issue at the moment?

Re: Slow internet

I can't think of any particular cause for it. What it might have been is that you were temporarily syncing at lower speeds than those indicated, meaning that the 300kbps or so attributed to uTorrent utilised most of your bandwidth. If it occurs again, check both speed tests and modem sync speeds to...

Re: Slow internet

What are the sync stats on your modem? What does a speed test return when uTorrent is turned off? Well it seems the problem has fixed itself now but I went ahead and did a couple of speed test anyway just to see. Results below; Speed test results with uTorrent turned ON: 2.68 Mb/sec down, 0.16 Mb/s...

Slow internet

Hi, Not sure where this thread should go so I put it here. Apologies if it should go elsewhere. Background: I use Windows XP, have been with Exetel for nearly 3 years at my current abode with no problems to speak of, upgraded my computer about 3 months ago and it's been working fine since then. I ha...

Re: Possible Change To Off Peak Period

This would suit me a bit better so I'm in favour.

Having said that, everything is good as is so wont be churning if things stay the same.

Any problem with overseas downloads?

Hi,

I'm having a hell of a time accessing any sites hosted overseas. Are there any known problems at the moment that could be causing this?

All my other sites seem to be fine.

I've tried turning off and on my modem, other browsers etc with no luck.

Cheers,
PeacefulWarrior
