Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
I'm currently on the very old NAK2A plan. It charges me $45 a month, and currently I have a service surcharge of $5 a month. ie total $50/month. Will my service surcharge change from $5 to $10? Or will $10 be added to it, making the surcharge $15? ie will my new total monthly cost, if I don't do any...

Increase to plan charge
Hi there, I got an email yesterday (3/3/2010) informing me that my plan's monthly charge will increase by $5/month. Can I firstly say, I'm a content customer and I entirely understand and appreciate your reasons for doing so. The email suggests, if I want to avoid this increase, to change my service...

Re: Naked ADLS2+ speed issue - modulation issue?
Yes, the quick/easy config set up is:
Protocol: PPPoE
VPI: 8
VCI: 35
I don't know what that means or how it helps.

Naked ADLS2+ speed issue - modulation issue?
Hi all, I'm on a Naked ADSL2+ plan and use a NetComm NB5Plus4W modem/router. I'm trying to work out how to get faster speeds since my VOIP phone isn't working brilliantly when I'm surfing the net. When I first moved in, I was told to set my modem's modulation to G.dmt so that guaranteed connection. ...

Re: ADSL1 speeds and modulation type??
In the meantime, while I wait for the official channels for support, here are the results of the speed test, ping and tracert. Your current bandwidth reading is: 1.20 Mbps which means you can download at 153.78 KB/sec. from our servers. C:\WINDOWS\system32>ping 220.233.0.50 Pinging 220.233.0.50 with...

Re: ADSL1 speeds and modulation type??
I can't get the support site (Cerberus) to list my email from the drop downs even after confirming it.
I tried two different email addresses and neither are listed. Does it take a while for the confirmation to go through the system?

Re: ADSL1 speeds and modulation type??
Tried the factory reset and there was no improvement.
When I deliberately chose the ADSL_2plus options, my modem's system log recorded 'DSL carrier is down'.
Not sure whether this means my connection has only been set up at an ADSL 1 level, not ADSL2+?

Re: ADSL1 speeds and modulation type??
I am using a NetComm NB5Plus4W. When the modulation type was set to NO_MODE, my connection didn't work at all. There is a MULTI_MODE setting, which ticks all the boxes, but this also results in no connection. The other options are: ADSL_G.dmt ADSL_G.lite ADSL_G.dmt.bis ADSL_G.dmt.bis_DELT ADSL_2plus...

ADSL1 speeds and modulation type??
Hi there, My new (two weeks) Naked ADSL2+ connection only seems to connect at ADSL 1 speeds, ie up 256Kbps and down: 1472Kbps. My modem modulation type is set to ADSL_G.dmt, so that at least I can connect to the network. However, I was expecting much faster speeds. Can someone tell me what the modul...

Re: Cancel termination request
The Exetel web site says calls can be made until 9.30pm AEST, which is in 25 minutes according to my watch.
Sadly, when I go through the options on the phone number, it hangs up before I can speak with anyone.
Any Exetel staff on the forums???

Cancel termination request
Hi there,
I want to cancel a request to terminate my service on the 11th Jan, ie tomorrow, and keep using Exetel as my ISP. (Long story, don't ask).
Can someone tell me how to do this and if it is possible to do through the member facilities?
Thanks,
Joshua

Re: problem sending international fax via email
Hi there,
I'm having difficulties sending faxes to New Zealand also. I'm trying 00116492551559@fax.exemail.com.au
Exetel receives something since it sends me a message back saying it failed.
Any ideas?
Joshua

No. I didn't realise the member services site password was to be the same as the modem password. I thought once I'd changed it on the site, it wouldn't make any difference to the actual connection. Sorry to waste your time. I didn't read the change password page properly, or at all for that matter. ...

Naked ADSL connection/authentication problem
Hi there, I recently moved and my Naked ADSL connection is set up. When I plugged in my Netcomm NB5W modem/router in at my new house everything worked fine, using my old Exetel account information. However, when I change my username and password to the new plan, weird things happen. 1. I can still c...
