MBB Migration option not available

I've just received the notice that my mobile voice service is being turned into a mobile data service (WTF?), and that if I want to keep voice capability I should log into the user facilities, select MBB Migration on the left pane and select 1, 2 or 3. When I log into the user facilities for my mobi...

Re: Exetel's Google cache not responding

Scratch that. Silly me should have tried restarting my browser first. The page now loads. Apologies for diverting your attention.

Exetel's Google cache not responding

I'm trying to view a youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qEr_mZf06Y), and the page is not loading. Chromium is reporting that it is waiting for o-o.preferred.exetel-syd.v1.lscache5.c.youtube.com. That host seems to be up - I can ping it - but it is not serving the requested page. If I go ...

Keeping VOIP when cancelling ADSL

I am considering cancelling my Exetel ADSL2+ service, but I would like to keep my VOIP number that I have with Exetel. I also have a data HSPA service and a mobile HSPA service (premium) that I will be keeping. Am I able to transfer my VOIP number to the account of one of those HSPA services so I ca...

Re: Having issues with net yet again Please HELP

I too am having the same problem (NSW Optus ADSL2). It was mentioned by a helpful poster in another thread that it is an MTU issue. This is the case for me. I was able to run "ip link set mtu 1400 dev ppp0" on my linux router and have regained access to most sites. I am still having issues with some...

Re: How long to wait for billing@

Really? I think it should appear in the replied subject line I looked closely and it turned out it was there on the subject line. However to see it in gmail, I had to go to "show original" to see the raw message headers - which is something one would rarely do in gmail. gmail had put the reply with...

Well, it's been seven elapsed days and still nothing.

Unfortunately, the auto-reply did not include a ticket number, so I don't have one to post.

Could someone give them a gentle nudge to look at their unresponded questions?

How long to wait for billing@

How long should I wait for billing@exetel.com.au to respond to my billing query? I emailed them on Monday and got the stock auto-response, but I've had no response to my query yet.

What is the typical timeframe for billing@ to respond?

Re: Relocation date

Thanks James.

A call to provisioning has sorted out my deactivation dates so the new tenants wont use my phone account (and they should be able to activate their own account).

I'll do as you say and email residentialsupport after I move.

Re: Relocation date

Well, that didn't seem to work. I emailed them a week ago and I still have had no reply. Good news is that Exetel had replied, some half hour before I posted the above but the reply went into my spam box. I still do not know what is going on since my questions were not answered, but I wanted to cor...

Re: Relocation date

Probably in a few days. Send an email to provisioning@exetel.com.au if you want to confirm the dates / process Well, that didn't seem to work. I emailed them a week ago and I still have had no reply. I now have a cutover date in my member facilities (which is a week later than the original estimate...

Re: IPv6

The last of the IPv4 address space has now been allocated to the regional NICs:

Does Exetel have a plan for IPv6? Are they pushing their providers to use IPv6?

Re: Relocation date

Dear Exetel, I have submitted a "Move Service" request for my Optus ADSL2+ w/phone service. On the confirmation page it told me the estimated connection date is 10th Feb. When I look at the "Move Service Status", there are no dates in the three fields that are dates (Requested Cancellation Date, Cut...

Relocation date

I'm moving soon with my Optus-based ADSL2+ service. I have completed the online form in the user facilities and it is telling me the "CRD(Estimated Connection date)" is 9th Feb. It this also the date the service is terminated at the old premises? Or does that happen immediately? I also have a /30 su...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

1. If you are moving from one Optus service and wish to bring that Optus service with you when you move, Exetel can get Optus to relocate it for you and Edit: there will be no charge though you will start a new contract . This is a rather new feature and you might wish to email residentialsales@exe...
