Re: Please Use This Thread To Advise Exetel Of Typos/Errors

The plan prices at http://www.exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_new.php lists the $3 "Account Charge" separately. Since it's a compulsory charge for all ADSL1 ADSL2 I'd suggest including it in each "Monthly Access Charge" to comply with Component Pricing rules. (Maybe you're already planning on doing tha...

Re: New $3 surcharge

I cannot provide you with legal advice - I'm not qualified to do so. The wording of those clauses is completely unequivocal as I read them. If you believe there is any doubt in what they are saying you need to obtain a written statement from Exetel billing or your own solicitors. I emailed billing ...

Re: New $3 surcharge

In the meantime, can anyone suggest which of these would relate to whether or not Exetel can charge the $100 early cancellation fee when they've made a change while under contract? I'm not 100% decided on whether I'm staying or going so need to make sure I have all the facts either way... "3.2 If Ex...

Re: New $3 surcharge

I thought I had previously replied - it applies to all contracts. Will those of us who leave Exetel due to a change while under contract still be charged $100 early exit fee, or will it be waived? Best to email billing@exetel.com.au to confirm this position I know... but while I wait a couple of da...

I've sent off an email to them asking if I got the letter in error as I'm under contract, will let you know the result.... or maybe ForumAdmin can enlighten us all.... T. Same here - still under 6 month contract and got the notificat...

Re: Usage meter changing Peak/Offpeak several times in a wee

Edit: And now I'm being told by support that my off-peak time is 4am-10am, even though it says 2am-8am on the plan page. That seems completely wrong to me. http://exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_new.php clearly states 2am-8am for the 1500Y plan. I would recommend against opening a new ticket though. I...

Usage meter changing Peak/Offpeak several times in a week

And the circus goes on... In the space of a week my 1500Y's off-peak period keeps changing: It's gone from "2am-12pm" to "2am-8am" to "2am-12pm" to "4am-10am" to "2am-8am" to "4am-10am" Time to open a new ticket, 'cos obviously the old one's just being left open and not looked at  Friday: http...

Re: Usage Meter Issue - Usage Over-Reported

Glad you managed to catch it. Hopefully the screen captures and the developer's track record will persuade Exetel to re-investigate. Exetel has not replied to my ticket. When did you log yours? About 5pm. They made the above reply around 10pm which was before I got the screen grabs. The problem's o...

Re: Usage Meter Issue - Usage Over-Reported

Okay, I logged a ticket and the reply was "Please note that we have investigate this with the developers and they have confirmed that currently there is no issues with the online usage meter and the readings are correct. Please monitor the usage further and feel free to get back to us if you encount...

Re: Usage Meter Issue - Usage Over-Reported

My meter over-reported again for my Thursday peak (12-12). The funny thing, the reading looked fine just a few hours ago. I've re-opened my ticket, posting here just in case anyone else experiences the same. Mine's now doing the same, so I've opened a ticket too. (One minute I'm over the 15GB quota...

Re: How long has anyone's "Move" ADSL service taken?

Call provisioning and get exact details of your move. Yes I needed to call provisioning anyway as there was a problem with the "Moved Service Status" - Play type had disappeared.. They sorted that out easily on the phone, so all's good. The answer to the original question by the way if anyone else ...

How long has anyone's "Move" ADSL service taken?

Hi I've submitted a "Move" request (ie: a cancel/connect) to a new address, but am not sure of the actual connection date because of these notes from Exetel: "Your new service will be ordered on the next working day after the date your new telephone line is connected. Your new service normally will ...
