PPP problems

For a period last night and all of today, I've been unable to connect, with my modem unable to get PPP authentication. I've tried a full factory reset on the modem, as well as the standard isolation test. I've double and triple checked the username and password stored in there, yet still unable to c...

Reminds me of the whole 'The internet is a series of tubes' speech. Another person who has no idea what they're talking about.

I've noticed a (rather large) increase in failed hashes. This might be due to using more public torrents now, rather than the cache.

Thanks again! This is the 4th large (>5gb) torrent in a row that has completely hit the cache! Makes downloading in 'Peak' time (though midnight seems more the peak time these days ;) ) worthwhile, considering both my on and off peak quotas are the same.

I believe as the cache is transparent, the client should report that it downloaded x bytes, hence still counting against your ratio. It's the seeder that loses out (only a minute difference to the seeder), as he still reports that he uploaded nothing.

I'm quite liking this alternative approach to the increased stress rather than just jacking up prices and buying more bandwidth. After all, it is always better to have something more efficient rather than just feed it more juice. In fact as I say this, it goes for more than this issue with exetel (t...
