Re: NetGear D6300 issue...

Line and wireless. The results to the router and to Exetel are very similar, so that would suggest that no rate limiting is taking place.. I'm currently doing a ping test from another computer directly attached to the router - my computer before went through a bridge, so if I get the same sort of re...

NetGear D6300 issue...

I have recently upgraded to a NetGear D6300 modem/router and am having some dropout issues for which I need some advice. Basically, the modem every 12-24 hours drops the Wireless LAN, the Gigabit ethernet connection through a TP-Link bridge, and the internet - requiring power off/on to reset the who...

Re: Interest in iPad Plans?

Sorry Bella, but you've missed the point, I think. I'm after a 4G plan without the modem, and I would like to know whether it is possible for Exetel to supply one.

Re: Interest in iPad Plans?

Thank you, Bella, but I am interested in the 4G plans, not the 3G. As I said, on that 4G link there is no indication of a sim only option.

Re: Interest in iPad Plans?

Thank you, Bella.

I've checked the link you supplied, and can find no indication that I can order the sim card only. Also, if indeed I can do that, is the cost still the same? (Would be rather strange if it was...)

Re: Interest in iPad Plans?

I was wondering whether these were still available. I emailed residential sales to ask but all I got back was a pointer to the mobile data plans. As a long term user of Exetel, I have ADSL2+ at home and am thinking of getting an iPad Air with cellular. As such, I need the sim card but not the modem....

Is there an update on this, James? The spam filter seems to have broken down completely. I have no wish to join any online casino, receive JapaneseJunkmail, nor buy Viagra online :-)

Problem with phpBB3 autologin

I have a test system of phpBB3 up on my Exetel area, and recently it has stopped logging me in automatically, and I have to re-login each time I access it despite ticking the 'login with in in time' box. Since I haven't changed any of the phpBB3 board parameters, that would suggest an external chang...

Re: New ADSL2 Plan - Free

It's really a disguised bundle, isn't it? For $50, you get wireline, mobile and ADSL. You can say ADSL + wireline for $50, and you get a free mobile, or ADSL + mobile and you get a free wireline etc etc. It all depends on how you want to position it, and what you feel from a marketing (i.e. psycholo...

Re: 8192/384 Plan Parameters

I'm currently on ADSL1 8192/386, behind a RIM, and get very close to full speed most if not all of the time. My modem attenuation is 28.0 downstream, which suggests that in theory I could get up to double that speed from ADSL2 (also requiring that Telstra enable ADSL2 on my RIM). So for me assuming ...

Problem with Belkin F5D8635-4v1 and iPhone

I have a Belkin F5D8635-4v1 modem/wireless router (with the latest firmware, 1.00.17, and an iPhone 3G with the latest software V4. Whilst I have no problems with various computers scattered around the house connecting to the router, the iPhone keeps losing it's WAN connection and reverting back to ...
