Here's a post that contains an old Sync. While it's a few years old - it does show the different sync speed.

Re: Substantial Sync Speed Reduction
Hi Scott, I have done a line test up to the router and cannot see any major error with the line readings. However as you have stated I could see the line sync rate as in 6144. There were no changes have made to the line or within the Exetel network. Therefore I have completed a force port reset and...

Substantial Sync Speed Reduction
Hi Guys I noticed recently that I was not getting the same download speeds during off-peak times - used to get 1,100KB/sec + (Sync of around 13,000) - but now only getting just around 600K (sync speed of 6144). I've had no issues with the service recently, and I've not had any change in devices conn...

Re: Timeout/Disconnect Issue every 24 hours
Hi Dazzled
Will give that a go.
I would presume what I would be looking at is the DHCP packets around time of renewal to see if I get a DHCPNAK?
Thanks
Scott

Re: Timeout/Disconnect Issue every 24 hours
Hi Sajitha Just an update on the issue. I had a laptop and the problematic PC up and running and the same time the issue occurred. I setup pings - From each machine to www.exetel.com.au - between the laptop and the problem machine - From each machine to an internal server as soon as 24 hours struck,...

Re: Timeout/Disconnect Issue every 24 hours
Hi Sajitha Thanks for the response. I've checked everything within the modem and there's nothing (logs & settings). I've also tried several cat6 network cables and have the same issue. What I plan to do tonight is to get a laptop up and connected at the same time on the network and have both PC's pi...

Re: Are there any route issues to Europe at the moment?
Hi Dazzled Yeah i've seen and read that. I recommend it to others to read about tracerouting. I had issues getting a VPN Connection up. Telnet to the port was timing out (indicative of a connectivity issue), and i dont have ping enabled on the server, so that only left the traceroute. Tis all good n...

Re: Are there any route issues to Europe at the moment?
Hey Guys
Looks like its magically started to work again. Without a PC or Modem Restart on my side, services to the server are now working as expected.
Is it likely an upstream server probably had an issue? I'll continue to monitor for any issues anyways.
Thanks
Scott

Re: High Latency and Low throughput
Thanks Nuranj. I'm not "complaining" by adding the extra posts - I realise its with the upstream provider. I just want to provide information is all. Ping from 5:00pm ping 220.233.0.50 -n 9999 Pinging 220.233.0.50 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 220.233.0.50: bytes=32 time=88ms TTL=60 Reply from 2...

Re: High Latency and Low throughput
Thanks ShaminG If it's congestion - then it's the same problem that never been fixed. I reference the previous Support Reference #3959149 from 5th May 2011. Anyways here's some more information this morning. Things are (as predicted) obviously better Ping from 7:45am ping -n 9999 220.233.0.50 Pingin...
