I just saw the email I recd from Exetel. Sounds great, but a few questions: Setting up requires giving out credit card numbers including verification code. Thanks, both the sms to Singapore and India went through. No need to drop any digits as the mobile numbers in these countries do not start with 0. Thanks for this wonderful facility, Exetel. No more fiddling with tiny keypads. Is the 20 free SMS per month for good?

I just wanted confirmation that the "drop the first digit" from the mobile number edict applies only to Australia, as our numbers start with 0. I don't think this applies to countries where the mobile number DOES NOT start with 0. So if the mobile number in India is 9944500600 then the string shold ...

I just tried sending an sms to Singapore. Not sure if it went through ok. They use a 8 digit mobile number there starting with 9. India uses a 10 digit no starting with 9.
