Confusing mobile plan - 'unlimited' calls must be 2 minutes or less?

I'm looking at the Critical Information Summary for the 12-month mobile contracts. All 12-month plans say: "Standard excess call rate (charged per minute): Unlimited " " Unlimited national calls and text" " Excess National Voice Calls to PSTN, Mobile and 13/1300 Numbers: Free " But on page 1 of the ...

Re: Install new modem router - setup guide

Well what about generic settings? I have also installed a new modem and am having a hard time finding generic settings for Exetel's ADSL2 (like PPPoE or PPPoA, etc). If the settings are on the main website, I would like a link because I couldn't find it. I have found some settings on this forum from...

Re: No internet, connecting just no internet

I have the same problem in WA this morning when I woke up. ADSL light is good, but internet light is red. I called Exetel but they couldn't help. Just told me to call D-Link.

Exetel did a port reset at my request (this has sometimes fixed it) and I've reset the modem a few times but no change.

Re: How to disable voicemail?

Server side? I'm not sure what that means. Have you used my details to make the change on my phone account, or do I need to do something else?

How to disable voicemail?

I've just activated a second mobile service on my account, but I can't disable the voicemail. I dialed 321 and it wanted me to set up voicemail. I went through the hoops so I could then disable it, but there is still no menu option for disabling voicemail.

How do I disable it?

Re: OCV200 change plan to OPFx plans looks incorrect

The page is confusing. It says "Monthly Line Rental Included" then further down the page it provides the details of the "Monthly Telephone Charges". It doesn't say those charges specifically relate to the $10.00 option ONLY: http://imageshack.us/a/img20/681/exetelphone.jpg The page can be easily be ...

Re: Slow ADSL - 250KB/s downloads in Perth

ok, so I am still having speed problems, and it is not my end. I have plugged an ethernet cable directly to the modem and used two different PCs with no change. I have also tried another modem and got the same poor result. I was about to have Exetel send a technician out to test the lines, but the p...

Re: Slow ADSL - 250KB/s downloads in Perth

My downloads were still maxing out last night at 250KB/s. When I look at a download graph, I can see an almost straight horizontal line sitting at around 200KB/s. No wavering. I've opened up a ticket now to investigate this further.

Slow ADSL - 250KB/s downloads in Perth

I have conducted 4 speed tests this evening using the Exetel speed test, with an average result of 250KB/s. This was the result of the last test: http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/1566/exetelapril284.png I had this same problem last month right around the time of the next billing cycle. Anyone know...

http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/9340/youtubechart2.png This is YouTube's own speed chart, averaged across the month. The black line is my own average speed with YouTube using Exetel, and if you look near the end of the month, you can see it reflects what I was talking about. My connection flatli...

Why slow speeds at the end of the month?

Why do I seem to get slow speeds near the end of the month, in the evenings (Perth)? It seems a few days before my billing cycle ends, my internet quality just drops, particularly at night. Is there some kind of throttling that happens at 12am AEST? The same thing happened last billing cycle as well...

Re: Unplanned outage in WA - Optus ADSL2

This is the third week in a row that these outages have occurred. Odd that they call them "unplanned" when they seem to be timed exactly the same and are on non-work days. For the past two weeks my connection has been out at 6:30am on Sunday, and for the third week it's 6:30am Monday (a public holid...
