Re: New ADSL connection slow speeds / latency issue

thanks Dazzled for your comments - here's what I did: 1. Obtain DNS automatically - yes that's checked and I have a primary and secondary dns addresses down as well which are primary - 220.233.0.3 secondary 220.233.0.4 2. Pinging the webmail server timed out, pinging 220.233.0.3 worked and pinging 2...

New ADSL connection slow speeds / latency issue

I just reconnected exetel at my new house, I'm using the exact same hardware all I changed was the login userid/password and I can connect to the internet but there are some problems with speed. 1. Most exetel sites are loading quickly - http://www.exetel.com.au/ http://forum.exetel.com.au but not h...

Voip not going to voicemail

I've checked the box through the exetel user website to direct calls to voicemail and filled in an email address, but currently the calls aren't going to voicemail. There aren't that many options to choose from - can someone help me work out why it's not going to voicemail?

Moving house - same exchange

I'm moving house and I'm pretty sure it's on the same exchange. I have a couple of questions: 1. If it's on the same exchange and Telstra port my phone number to the new address can my adsl connection continue to run uninterrupted? (I'm guessing not) 2. Otherwise it sounds like I have to wait till i...

VOIP multiple simultaneous calls

I work from home and have 2 voip lines - I'm wondering if you can make 2 simultaneous calls ie one on each line to use the 100 free voip calls included in the adsl 2 package?

Re: Web hosting service at Exetel with own Domain Name

I currently have a number of domains registered with netregistry also. Some of my domains currently point to my blog ( http://clint.typepad.com/clints_mortgage_journal/ ) or a landing page on my blog space. The redirection from Netregistry costs $20 per domain per year. eg I might have 3 domains cur...

Re: Network Wide Outage Sat May 3

I just sent an email about this to richardk@exetel.com.au I’ve never had a problem with my adsl service before but since Saturday. All weekend and even this morning it keeps dropping out. When I use the test function on my DLINK DSL 504G modem router normally everything passes but at present there i...

lower usage plan

I'm a loyal exetel customer and I'm on the lowest ADSL 2 plan for $45/mth bundled with the phone. It gives me 500Mb peak. I'd normally use somewhere between 500 and 1000Mb and pay the extra $3/mth which was no big deal. New Plans Like the other comments I'd like a low end plan with somewhere around ...

Sending Fax through web interface by uploading a file

I already use both a telstra fax service that operates like this for incoming faxes, but I'd be happy to try exetel's offering - yes I run a small business from home. Outgoing I use winfax pro at present. Functionallity - Though I rarely use it, when I go on holidays I take my laptop and often go to...
