Re: ABC iView

Just wondering if there is an update to this - are Exetel considering ever having iView unmetered?

Good Service Exetel

Hi, I just wanted to give some positive feedback to the Exetel admins & employees. I once worked at an ISP doing tech support and I know it's not often you get positive feedback so I thought I would make the effort to send some gratitude. But lately I have been thinking, I've been with Exetel for ov...

Re: Slow speeds

If a senior engineer or tech from exetel could post a messege here or email customers on the nature of the problem, or simply say "hey guys, we hear you, we're working on it" (which i know for a fact they are) im sure everyones nerves would be eased, of course that creates the problem of admitting ...

Re: Possible New ADSL2 Plans For New Financial Year

We've tried to run Exetel, from day one, as openly and honestly as possible with no 'marketing scams' or other misleading "offers" I think the way some ISPs are promoting "200 gb downloads" goes past marketing scam. So do you/other customers think a 3 am to 9 am 'massive download' period is prefera...

Re: Possible New ADSL2 Plans For New Financial Year

I think Exetel is great value (compared to other ISPs in Australia, not the rest of the world but that's a different topic), and the service is very good. The only thing I can think of is the usual 'make it cheaper' thing. More data, for less cost. But I'm sure there's a hard limit on that given ups...

Re: No Sync + Dead Line since 11th April.

Hi,
Can you please confirm that the Telstra/Optus technician has been cancelled, and that you have un-done the 'compatibility' flag on my account?

Thanks.

Re: No Sync + Dead Line since 11th April.

I'm an electrical engineer -- perhaps I can read up on the net about phone line termination equipment and test/fix it myself? Can you please cancel the Telstra/Optus techie who is due to come on Friday morning between 8am-12pm? I fixed my phone line! Wohoo, it's great to have internet access again....

Re: No Sync + Dead Line since 11th April.

Looks like they stopped by. But this time they wrote on the card 'you may need to call Optus', but I don't understand why as the phone line is with Telstra. They'd ticked a few boxes at least but I'm not sure if they needed someone to be home or not. I'm an electrical engineer -- perhaps I can read ...

Re: No Sync + Dead Line since 11th April.

Thanks - yeah I received a call from you guys this morning. Please organise a technician for earliest opportunity and you can organise a time if you like, and let me know of the time. My housemate can possibly be home, otherwise I'll try to leave the gate ajar (I am guessing this is what stopped the...

Re: No Sync + Dead Line since 11th April.

Hi Richard, Thanks for the update. I got home today to find a Telstra service call leaflet in my mail box but with no boxes ticked so I don't know what the outcome of their visit was. My line still seems dead though, to phone and ADSL modem. Are you able to find out? We have a big fence around our h...

Re: No Sync + Dead Line since 11th April.

Hi,
No Telstra technicians have attended the house as yet. I have left our big gate a bit ajar each day so they can let themselves in but still the line is dead and no sign of any visits. Can you please follow up?

- Corey
