Re: Off Peak Period Change
Wow this is a huge change, and issue. Earlier this year I changed over from my grandfathered plan to a new plan with unlimited off-peak which was $5 cheaper than my old plan (because of the price increase), at a $10 plan change cost. The funny thing is that the peak allowance was increased somewhere...

Re: Unable to connect to TPB
I get the same thing. The page loads very very very slowly, with no images. If I try to search something, it again takes a long time before coming up with only text but no formatting.

Here is a ping and tracert: http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4422/2nu7jly.png Thanks EDIT 08/08/09: Working perfectly now, don't k...

Re: Websites redirecting to other websites
No no no. I mean, normal and safe websites which I regularly use are redirecting to other websites which I also regularly use. For example, last night http://www.news.com.au was redirecting to google, and a few hours earlier the same was happening with photobucket. At first I thought it was the cach...

Websites redirecting to other websites
For some strange reason, some websites randomly redirect to other websites, but this goes away after half an hour or so, but is quite annoying. I try using a proxy and the website loads fine. I've tried deleting the cache and using other browsers to test (such as IE which I NEVER use) but the proble...

Re: Off Peak Time
Can I just get one thing clear? So is the problem right now (or when this thread was started) is/was that all the P2P downloaders conflicted with the late night surfers/gamers which resulted in slower speeds for everyone?

Re: Help with LAN
Ok then I think its got to do with the security. So went to \\Renwick on my own computer. Works fine. When I double click one of the folders I get this: http://i36.tinypic.com/3vvjb.png So the issue should be the security. I am 100% sure the folder exists, and simple file sharing is turned on. How t...

Re: Help with LAN
I did all that, still with no success. I have noticed something though. On one of the computers, it can see itself in the workgroup. But on the other computer, it cant see anything, not even itself.

Re: Help with LAN
Both computers have windows firewall turned off. One computer has Nod32, the other Avira. Turned both of them off. Both computers do have a shared folder, at least. Both computers can ping the other IP and get replies, but not the other host name. Both computers have the same workgroup name, but doe...

Re: Stealing Other People's Property
Do you think people will care about security when they get a copyright infringement letter from their ISP? Or how bout when people start getting their internet cut off? If that happened to you, will you just sign up on a new ISP and continue P2P? Once you get a letter or two about illegal downloadin...

Re: Stealing Other People's Property
The usenet idea sounds very sweet, if it is an extra feature of having Exetel. Imo, the best way to do it would be to make it so that the usenet access is for free, but the downloads do count towards your quota. If you do it the other way, which is charging for usenet but not counting it for usage,...
