Re: Usage email notification??

Same here, cracked 760Gb in 2 days!
Not a bad effort for an 11mbps plan that's only used for Netflix, Youtube and PS4 gaming LOL

Telstra stuffed pit wiring, now no dial tone and bad sync

Hi Exetel, In February this year I went through a no dial tone and bad sync/no internet issue Ref No. 11234059 The Telstra cable tech fixed the pit wiring (only 1 wire in the pair was connected), and then I had the best sync (7-8Mbps) and clearest dial tone since living here 15 years. After they fix...

Seems your forum system time is out too, I posted originally at 7:40am, not 8:40am.

This reply is 8:06am.

No Internet - 23 Aug 2016

This morning I have no Internet connection, I am showing a sync though. I have a dial tone and can make calls. I have performed the usual, isolation, reboot router and even swapped router, definitely not Internet connection. I am on the New Lambton Exchange is it a known issue this morning? I have n...

Re: No Internet and home phone engaged - Exetel no. #8003217

Thank you Imran. I spoke with Tech support this morning, apparently changing ports takes 2 days to complete? Seems strange considering they moved me yesterday, I would have expected to have been swapped in the same day not without internet and home phone for 2 complete days. Exetel probably need to ...

No Internet and home phone engaged - Exetel no. #8003217

I have an Exetel case ref: #8003217 Yesterday (19th), Exetel had planned to move me to a less congested port, since then I now have no internet and the home phone just has an engaged signal. I tried yesterday and last night to get hold of support but you must have had plenty of outages/problems as t...

Re: Slow ADSL2 - New Lambton Exchange

Hi adsa75 Getting a "normal" download speed of between 5-7mb would put you a few kms from the exchange. I have a Exetel/AAPT service located near Westfield & get similar speeds. Switching to an AAPT plan maybe another option for you. IanS Strange that my sister is with Exetel/Optus at a different e...

Re: Slow ADSL2 - New Lambton Exchange

Thanks for the reply, and the clarification that Exetel are going to follow this through for me (and others on Optus).

The post was also a call to others to see if they are seeing the same issues.

Cheers.

Slow ADSL2 - New Lambton Exchange

I've recently logged a fault with Exetel about speed issues. The issues only seem to occur at certain times of the day, usually the afternoon until late at night. Normally I have download speeds stable between 5-7Mbps, not great but I've had this for the entire time I've been with Exetel and I'm hap...

APN Settings - CAP plan - Sony Xperia

After receiving a support email from Exetel listing 5 different APN's and an APN Type of "Static" (none of which worked), I called up the support line and a very helpful person was able to send the settings direct to my phone. After rebooting the phone I'm now able to access the web via HSPA. My pho...

SMS is FAILING to send

I've sent 3 messages this afternoon, 1 to myself to test. All 3 are coming up with status FAILED (I did not receive the message).

Yet I've been charged for the SMS ?

Will they eventually go or is the service out of action?

Cheers.

Re: Off Contract - want to resign but can't easily

And if the OT plans do eventually become available will they then let me sign into a contract without all the hoops to jump through or just transfer? I think the way they change things I want the security of being in a locked contract, I just don't want to have to terminate in order to get into it....

Off Contract - want to resign but can't easily

I've been off contract for around 1.5yrs now and my old plan keeps getting changed and services reduced/modified. So, with the new plans now on offer, I'd like to re sign into one of them. But no! In order to do this Exetel tell me I've got to cancel my existing service and re apply! Quote from an e...

Yep, was on 26 for about 2 weeks and now back to 42, obviously it is intermittent and Optus have no idea how to stabilise it.
