Churning Process

I am thinking of churning away from Exetel to another service provider. I have noticed quite a few posts on whingepool regarding the requirement of 30 days notice but this notice is "only" for cancelling a service and possible payment. See this post http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t...

Leeton Exchange ongoing issues sine 16th January

Some very good news even if it isn’t the best news for Leeton residence. Two Telstra technicians have finally got through to higher technical support at Telstra that there is indeed a major issue occurring at Leeton exchange with stalling downloads and this has been passed on to the Global Operation...

Well it seems now the exchange in Leeton has decided magically that I am not allowed to play online games such as everquest (evercrack), CS:Source or LOTRO. Due to this issue that Telstra nor Exetel will acknowledge exists in Leeton cause there is "not enough" people complaining I have had to resort...

Nothing that anyone could have done (from any ISP) would have returned the service any sooner. Other than maybe more ISP's putting in more trouble tickets to possibly increase the priority on the investigation. But never mind Kooringal is fixed thanks to wagga2650 never letting go of the tigers tai...

Re: download issues

It won't get fixed if the process of reporting the issue isn't followed, as in all likelihood, the issue won't get reported. Hi Tocpcs, just thought I would let you know that mine has now been fixed I had my mate from Telstra ring and confirm it is done so sometimes it's not what you know it's who ...

Hey Wagga2650,

Any chance you can PM me some details and hopefully I can track down one of these very rare telstra technicians in my town.

See if they can confirm the same cards are in leeton exchange.

Thanks in advance :-)

Set this down to 1400. Its not going to affect things *that* much, but if it does fix the problem, you can then scale it back up. Did that down to 1400 still stalls, dropped to 1300 took longer but yes still stalls. Will just have to live with it until helstra get their tin cans full of 3M insulati...

Finally I created a ticket and the help desk wanted me to change the MTu to 1400 in the modem which doesn't appear to have this so I did something else and create the following entry in registry. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NdisWan\Parameters\Protocols\0] "ProtocolType"=dwo...

So this may indicate that the problem lies with routing BACK to your exchange/POP. Have you included this in your ticket(s)? This may also be indicitive of a MTU issue. Have you done any testing with your MTU settings? Not even started a ticket let alone know what the possible root cause of the iss...
