Line dropout /line sync issues

hi Exetel, I'm been having line dropout/loss of sync issues for 5 years (since I've moved into the house) and I've decided I really need to fix it. I lose line sync about once an hour. The modem (Netgear DG834) flashes the line sync light a few times after dropping out and then reconnects. I've trie...

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

So the online plans are getting a top up hey? I think it's not fair that I'm on the NF/22INCTEL plan, which is basically the same as the Z/21INCTEL plan but costs me $10 to jump on it. my plan has an extra 6GB peak, but costs an extra $5 p/mth (which is still more expensive than paying 50c/GB). If t...

Re: Plan upgrade to Optus = Speed benefits?

Do exetel have any plans to add WA/Perth servers for ADSL 2 (which I already have) to stop me routed through Sydney? It's painful.

Plan upgrade to Optus = Speed benefits?

Hi, I tried to search for this info so sorry if I'm stupid. I live in Perth/WA and this post is about my connection being routed through Sydney which gives me a ping minimum of about 70-100m/s. This is not ideal if playing games on Perth servers. Stupid Question 1: Who does Exetel currently wholesal...

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)

i would be interested in an unlimited plan.

I play games so I'm mostly interested in speed/response times. I ALWAYS get complaints that my connection is lagging so if it was going to get worse then I'll pass...otherwise.... sign me up!

Hi, My ip address has changed, and now my internet is down. I logged a ticket but I just got told to check my PC settings. This has happened to me before. I can ping and access the Exetel main page and forums but I can't ping or access any other site (Australian included) Can you please fix it. This...

Re: New ADSL plans

I am currently on the "INCPHONE A" plan, and I am interested in changing to the "NF/22IncTel" plan I see the extra giggitybytes I get for transferring, I can live with 8 hrs downgrade off peak for the extra 6GB I get on peak. I never send SMS, use VOIP or send faxes (didn't work for me anyway). Any ...

New ADSL plans

Hi Exetel,

I got an email about the new Exetel ADSL2 plans.

It stated I can stay on my old plan. The new plans look better in every way. Why wouldn't anyone want to be automatically upgraded to the new plans? They look like upgrades. Am I missing something here? :?:

Re: Request for special/custom plan?

I think we have a winner. They are happy to pay the line rental for the pre-paid internet "PAYUDSL2" plan. The signup service requires a working phone number before you can apply. The client lives in Medina, can I confirm if you have any spots left in the exchange before I get her to sign up? (can t...

Re: Request for special/custom plan?

I like the idea of the PRE-PAID ADSL2 PLANS FOR "LIGHT" USERS (Telephone Line Rental Included In Monthly Access Fee) Is it available in Naked? Basically, my customer has a mobile phone they hardly use with no landline (so no obvious benefit to paying line rental) with minimal download probably requi...

Request for special/custom plan?

HI Exetel, I need a low download low cost plan I can recommend. Your plans are great for people like myself but I need a low cost one with small downloads. The plan I need is about 1-3GB peak, 0GB offpeak for about $20-$30 p/mth. I think this would be fantastic for Exetel becuase the people that wan...

Re: Pensioner Broadband Plans?

Pensioner idea? Easy. Don't create any qualifying criteria, just create a cheap $10-$15 p/mth plan with 1GB peak download 0 off peak, shaped to 64k and call it the Pensioner plan. Don't exclude people that aren't pensionsers, but just cater it so it's attractive to pensioners. I think this would wor...
