Re: adsl2 selective website connection issues

I am having the exact same issues and cannot load the pages mentioned in this thread. I also cannot sign into Windows Live Messenger and I frequently get disconnected when on Xbox Live.

From my end it seems obvious something is broken. Please fix it Exetel!

Re: Pensioner Broadband Plans?

If Exetel had a plan for around $15/month for 2-3GB I'm pretty sure my grandparents would sign up to it :) They are looking for a plan for around $15/month and don't need much download. Currently their only option is 3 mobile broadband for $15/month for 1GB. I suppose if Exetel could offer something...

Re: IP changing problem - screen errors

if your account is inactive due to spam block, failed payment, usage block, copyright block etc then you can't change IP, what does your account status indicate? Under "View Exetel Services" it says my account status is "Active". Is there anyone at exetel who can fix the view/change IP page in my m...

Re: IP changing problem - screen errors

Hello

I am still unable to view/change IP address in the member's facilities with the following error message "Your Account status is inactive. You cannot change modem ip address details".

Is anyone able to help?

Thanks

Thank you

Re: Single thread download performance limited

Dear Dazzled/Sonicblue, Exetel do not limit individual youtube/http connections. I can see you both may be experiencing issues with speed that may need to be investigated in further detail, can i kindly ask both of you to email residentialsupport@exetel.com.au and refer to this thread for more info...

Re: Single thread download performance limited

I was also wondering why individual connections are so slow, and multiple connections are needed to achieve more speed? It seems like Exetel is using some sort of multiplexing which is doing this deliberately. Right now I can only get 20kB/sec per connection to youtube.com , but if I download multip...

Re: Appeal to Exetel regarding "ADSL 2+" speeds

http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/7916/omggr2.jpg Not feeling the love. edit: I should point out that I would actually accept the above speed during the off peak period, provided it is a bare minimum and the speed is consistently 75kB/sec to all websites that are capable of delivering it. Unfortun...

Re: Appeal to Exetel regarding "ADSL 2+" speeds

Gday, I am appealing to the Exetel staff to take some action and responsibility in the matter of very poor "ADSL 2+" speeds. I know I am not the only one who is fed up with the poor speeds at night time, which happens to be when I use my internet connection most. I am reduced to dial-up speeds duri...

P2P is progressively constrained hour by hour from 8 pm to 2 am each day at the moment. That's the limit of what is done. No other traffic is ever 'constrained/capped' in any way at any time. But many of us are seeing a speed reduction of our non-P2P traffic at various times, and yet we can see on ...

Suggestion - Shaping on Network Graphs

Hello I was just wondering if Exetel might consider showing on the network graphs the bandwidth cap that is actually being enforced at various times of day? I feel this could help us determine whether slow speed at certain times is to be expected. Also a quick question - I notice the Verizon link is...
