Re: Churning From eXeTeL... Alternate ISP Suggestions
No worries. Good Luck... Fan-bl00dy-tastic! Someone has actually provided useful input :) Great stuff, DBR. Really appreciate it. You've managed to nail two of my concerns. One being the reputation of Dodo. And the other being AusBBS. I have just chosen to churn with AusBBS and paid the additional s...

Re: Churning From eXeTeL... Alternate ISP Suggestions
Hi TZ, I've been with Exetel for nearly as long as you (Mar 06 I think) and I recently churned due to an almost 50% increase in fee from Exetel. I went with DODO unlimited for $29 (+ $39 phone line rental). My need was around 300GB per month. I don't game so didn't care too much about the fastest re...

Re: Exetel forcing me to change plan?
I can't seem to find the cancel plan button that used to exist in the member's facilities. If it is gone how do we give our 30 days notice?

Re: Exetel forcing me to change plan?
I really don't want to change lol, the proposed 50GB Peak and 50GB Off-peak plan might be $5 cheaper than our current plan but it's likely ill suited for us and the next tier above it is a ridiculous 1TB plan ($23 dearer). Why Can't I stay on my 500GB anytime plan and just pay an extra $5 or $10 a ...

Re: No reply to email regarding billing
Yeah I have found emails to billing have a response rate that can best be described as sporadic. However if you use the online ticket system (https://helpdesk.exetel.com.au/), they have always responded promptly to me.

Re: Exetel to Exetel Z8 Plan
I have an M15 plan, and noticed that the current billing has 13/1300/1800 numbers listed as excluded costs. My understanding from the description is that these are included along with MMS calls. Could someone please provide clarification? David You are correct. Both on the Website and in Member fac...

Re: Galaxy S2 "EXETEL" apn does not work
What are the APNs that Exetel use for Optus?
For handsets (but not iPhones) being used on the Exetel (via Optus) network, the APN is ‘INTERNET’ or ‘OPTUSWAP’.
For iPhones being used on the Exetel (via Optus) network, the APN is ‘YesINTERNET’

Re: New ADSL1 plans vs existing plans
With respect to the 'moving away from Telstra", I suspect the CAP on STD calls are part of what they are referring to. The ~$30 per month plans have $2 for 3 hours caps after 7pm rather than just a flat call rate (yes, I know VOIP fixes this but for those uninterested, unwilling to consider VOIP the...

Re: Off Peak Allowances
We could easily stop metering data downloads on the current plans. Would that not then attract the demographic who I understand you went to some length to encourage to leave. Then you have the question of having to apply a fair use policy or truly leave them uncounted and risk the 'unethical' few t...

I would consider the HTC Desire HD or Samsung Galaxy S II as either outright or plan.
